Another photographer question.... opinions wanted

I have seen Patken, Imagine and Proline so far. My first choices - Patken and Imagine are booked so I am still searching . I have appointments with Silverfox, Duet and Franklin Square Photographers this week. Any opinions on any of them? Any other suggestions? I am looking for a nice mix of traditional, candid and photojournalism shots.

Duet gets great reviews and have great packages. They were my second choice but I wanted Patken and was able to get Steve so I went with them.

I booked Silverfox. My FH and I really liked the owner John and felt comfortable with him.
All of the pricing is a la carte, so you create your own packages.
We booked 2 photograpers- one traditional and one photojournalist.

I went to Duet, Perceptions, Funico Studios, Sarah Merians and a few others. I am going to Bill Fredericks tonight. So far I liked perceptions the best, but everything I want adds up to too much money!!

I went to Duet last night, and their price really cannot be beat. Especially since they offer 12 hour coverage instead of the typical 8. And you even get some 8x10's, etc...I will probably go with them.

One of my friends used Franklin Square.. Her pictures are very nice, but from her pics and what they have on their website, it is a little to 'traditional' for me. But who knows - maybe I'll wind up making an appt anyway!!

I want to decide by the end of the week, I am so over looking for photographers!!

I booked Silverfox. I too wanted a mix of teh 2 styles. Duet offers the same. I think the maine differnce is Duet has 2 photographers who do both styles included in all packages.

Correct me if I'm wronf , I didn't actually meet with them, they were booked.

Silverfox is ala carte, so you can choose to have 2 photographers, one in each style. The candids will be B& W. The traditional ones are color.
Right now, color is film and B & W is digitial but they are going all digitial by the end of the year.

I heard somewhere that if you request film they will put it in your contract. Anyone else hear this?

Did you meet with Dominic from 12th night yet? I'd book an appointment with him too. He's a really great photograher. Many of the brides here are using him.

I booked 12th Night for a specific reason. On their window and their website, i liked ALL the pictures I saw, not just one specific photographer's work. So no matter who I get on my wedding day, I am likely to be happy no matter who it is. That is in addition to the fact that I liked Dominic and was comfortable with their price range.
