Guest Minimums

Does anyone know if halls work with people on the min of guests? I know some halls require a certain amt of people...but if you really love the place, can they work with you?

Re: Guest Minimums

some of the halls will allow you to add in extra things in place of the extra missing people with advance notice.....

Re: Guest Minimums

I have the garden room, and on a Friday night my min is 110. I think you could easily hit that after adding your vendors in. When I was looking around halls told me to expect that 20% will not show that you invite...

do you only have 100 to invite? Or, is that all you can afford?

westbury manor also has some smaller rooms upstairs, but they are both beautiful- maybe you could reserve the room downstairs and ask them if you don't have enough people that they could put you in another room?

Re: Guest Minimums

Yes, they will. When we first went to see our hall they told us one thing. When we went to sign the contract, we negotiated with them to lower limit some - by about 15 people. So yes, you can negotiate that in your contract at some places.

Re: Guest Minimums

I have the Terrace room... 135 minimum on a Sunday afternoon. Which we should have no problem meeting unless 75 guests decline

Re: Guest Minimums

Our hall worked with us. They counted the vendors who we had to feed towards our minimum.

Re: Guest Minimums

I had to go with a Friday night in order to get the place I really wanted, The Woodbury Country Club.

I think they wanted at least 150 for a Saturday night, so I had to go with a Friday night and a minimum of 125. I think we ended up with 135.

Re: Guest Minimums

My hall worked with us and we were able to lower our minimum to a number we were more comfortable with.

Re: Guest Minimums

For mine, they gave us a minimum and if we didn't meet that then the price per person went up about $10
