Looking for a Yankee stadium cake!

Okay, I was all set to get a groom's cake in the shape of yankee stadium from Hey Cookie. I called a couple of months ago and got a price of $300 for a 100 person cake. Now they are part of Dortoni's and the cake will cost me $500! Does anmyone know of a bakery that will make this cake for less than $500?!

I'm going to get that to for FH!

I'm going to contact Chalet Pastry Shop in Great Neck, a friend of mine family own it and he told me that if you have a pic they can do anything.

I haven't called yet, so I don't know how much. But here is the number (516) 466-4355.

Are you getting it for the reception or the RD? If for the recp are you getting it to feed everyone?

Thanks for the # -I'm going to give thema call a little bit later. I plan to have the cake at the reception so mor epeople can see it. I only want to get a 50 - 100 person cake since I'll have the wedding cake as well (we have 280 on our list).

If you go on the Knot, look for ACE2445's bio. She did that for her DH and I think she used someone named Jackie. Hope this helps!

I was curious, so I called Audrey's. They said that they do the Yankee Stadium cake. The price range would be $300 to $400. I guess the cost may vary depending on the picture you show them, as well as, the details you are looking for..

She is so creative (truly an artist) and a pleasure to work with! Her cakes are the best tasting cakes around. Just AMAZING!! She has won awards for her cakes and also worked for a time with Sylvia Weinstock! Everyone could not stop raving about how good the cakes were! We had a wedding cake & she made a special grooms cake that looked like Yankee stadium!!
My DH cried when we saw it!(it was a surprise)
She also made my shower cake!

Wow! For that price, you may as well order a 2nd big wedding cake! Good thing FH told me he didn't want one of Shea Stadium!
