My July 24th Review

I would like to start off by thanking LIW and all the girls on this board for all of the wonderful ideas and help I got along the way. It feels crazy, but I am now a happily married woman!

Most of my vendors were great and our day was amazing! With only a few slight kinks in the road we had the most amazing day with endless compliments. I want to do it all over again.

Adrienne's Bridal : F I got my dress here and the dresses for all six of my bridesmaid. I had very few problems with my dress, but that was because I ordered my dress a year early and I did not need a single alteration. In fact they were one of the few places that carried my watters and watters dress. The problems with my girls dresses, and the service I received were inexcusable and caused unnecessary stress in the wedding planning process. I have made several posts on here about them, but in a nutshell... they lost the girls dresses, all the girls dresses came in late and on different dates, they booked appointments for the girls after sending out notification cards and when the girls got to their appointments the dresses were not in yet. One dress was stained, one of the girls alterations were incomplete when she picked it up the day before my wedding. The service was horrible and unprofessional and they have a bunch of

on this board. I had a horrible experience with them. It all worked out okay and only one girls dress did not really fit but we made it work after countless hours of my sitting in the maids cottage. However, this was just my experience and I am not saying this will happen to everyone, but I was VERY unhappy with them. Fortunately I got a dress that I loved out of the experience.

Angel Bridal: A+++++++ I got the most beautiful veil there and they could not have been more amazing to work with. My mom got her dress there to and they were GREAT. Very sweet, organized, and accommodating. I cannot say enough about them. Vicky is like a mom to every bride in there. She is amazing! My veil was amazing! I love them!

Captain Bill's: A+++ The food was great. The place is amazing. They got all of my detail right, and they were very accommodating. I was so happy with them and my guests are still raving about the food. They were the perfect setting for our perfect night.

Nick from Patken Photographer: A+++ He was great. He took amazing pictures, put up with my crazy family and was a tremendous support throughout the whole process. He made the day go very smoothly and we could not be happier with all of his work. He is a great guy too!

Audrey's Bakery: Tom was a great guy to work with and our cake was flawless. Exactly how I pictured, No better than I pictured. We got a ton of compliments including from out photographer and the taste was out of this world. The Best wedding cake I ever had! Amazing!A++++++++

My aunt is a florist and she did our flowers. She did a better job than I ever expected. They were amazing and our wedding gift which made them even better!

Makeup by Christine: A+++++++ She came to my house the morning of and did eight women. She was great. I have never worn makeup before and she made me feel very comfortable. She is the sweetest person and even called on her way over to see if we needed anything from the store. She was great!

My aunt did my hair and the hair of all the girls. She did a great job on everyone, but me. My curls fell out by the time I had my pics at my house done. I wasn't thrilled but she's my aunt so I'll let her live. My hair was not really how I wanted it and my veil was too far back, but it looked okay, just not how I wanted it. Everyone else looked great, but she did me last and kind of rushed. Oh well!

In the Mix DJ: A++++++++++ They were amazing. I had heard some bad stories on here and was very nervous, but I can not say a bad word about them. We booked with Donnie and he was very nice. We loved him. Then we went over details with Gina and she could not have been more helpful. I felt like I really got to know her. The night of the rehearsal dinner they called and said that Donnie had a family emergency and would not be able to do our wedding ( a horrible family crisis

) We were skeptical but the day of our wedding we met our new DJ and he was out of this world. He went over all the details with us again, the music was loud enough, but not too loud that people were complaining and couldn't talk, and he got everything right. He was incredibly sweet and made the night go so smooth. He really made our wedding and people were complimenting him all night long. He played a great mix and had a full dance floor all night long. We had a blast. They were GREAT!!! I would never think of using another DJ company again!

Atlantis Limos: F First they sent the wrong limo. We paid for a brand new limo and go one that was about 5 years old. The driver was very nice and they were on time though so I was not that upset with the wrong car, things happen. However, I called the night before we left for our honeymoon to confirm our HM pickup and the shady guy on the phone said 'yea, I think we got a pickup at that time.' I should have known then. The next morning my parents came over to say goodbye and we waited for the limo. THEY NEVER CAME!!! We called the company, the guys cell phone, everything and no one returned our calls. We left an hour after our pickup time and my parents took us to the airport. My sister waited at my apartment and they NEVER showed up. Had my parents not been there we would have missed our flight to Hawaii. Someone called my DH on his cellphone when we were in Hawaii and wanted to know what time we were coming in so they could pick us up, and when my DH started to complain the guy said I am just a driver, call me if you need me, and he hung up. Needless to say my parents drove us home too.

Liberty Travel A They did a great job booking our trip and we had the most amazing time.

American Airlines: F On the way there everything was okay. On the way home we got to LA and our flight was delayed four hours. I was fine with that because they obviously need to delay things and I am not going to get on a plane that should not be in the air for one reason or another. After our four hour delay they delayed another 15 minutes then another half an hour. At 12:30 our 8:00 flight was cancelled and no one wanted to help you. There was no form of compensation, no would put you on another flight and no one would help you. They told us our flight no longer existed so there was nothing they could do to help us. They did not make any annoucements, and after waiting on line for an hour they put everyone in a room where they would help us. but they did not send anyone that worked there in the room. It was a room full of p***** off New Yorkers. finally we found someone who would put us on another flight going to NY. Everyone else was still waiting in that room. We left Hawaii on Thursday and did not get to New York until Saturday. It was a nightmare. I don't mind a cancelled plane, but a little help would be nice.

I am tired of writing so I will do the HM hotels and post pics later.
