UPDATED:More pictures from my flower meeting
Here is the color palette for the reception flowers. The cp looks kind of ratty because we kept pulling and replacing flowers. We are also making them larger. We are removing the lavender roses and using the red colored dahlias instead. The first picture shows the swatch colors for the linens. We are using the fourth one (the brightest, one over from the rightside).
The second set of pinkish flowers are the type of flowers we are using for the ceremony flowers and the bqs.

Your flowers by your 'famous florist' are very pretty but I think for the ballroom in Oheka you need something raised otherwise they will get lost bvecause the ballroom is so big, plus you have the high ceiling.

Well I appreciate your suggestion, but I am not going for that look. The arrangements are not going to get lost because we are having a professional lighting company to light the arrangements on the table. Also, to make up for the low cps, I am having 6 huge urns filled with plum branches and flowers around the room. They will be uplit with lights as well.

That sounds really nice! I liek low centerpeices , so I thikn the urns are a great way to add height. And I like the lighting idea, I never would have thought of that.

I'm so glad you wrote that you are taking out the lavendar roses because when I looked at the arrangements (without first reading) my first thought was -- one of those colors has got to go. I think that with those beautiful orchids (they are orchids, right?) and the red dahlias the arrangements will be gorgeous! And they will complement the linens very nicely.I love the color palette for your ceremony flowers -- are you keeping those pinkish colors or are you using the same color scheme as the reception? I think I like the idea of going from lighter (ceremony) to deeper colors (reception).

Yes...I hate lavender. We are taking them out. That is why the pics really are not of the actual cp. We changed so much that it is really just one little part of the cp that will look like it on the wedding day.
I definitely want the colors to build throughout the ceremony. I also think table lines and lighting make an enormous difference!!!! In fact, you really need lighting if you are doing those deep colors.
Those ceremony pictures (the pinks) were from photoshoot he just did this week. I liked them so much that I just want him to replicate them in the ceremony.

yep...but they are obviously not the finished product because we kept changing it. So it is kind of screwed up. But at least it gives a little bit of the feeling I am going for.

I love the colors, but agree that they seem very low for that type of space...how are they lightening them? How does that add to the affect?

I see your point why bother with lighting and all that other stuff if you could get flowers that fit the room.......but i do love the colors .... but for the money I better have OVER THE TOP breathtaking flowers
