My August 1st Wedding Review - NRC

My wedding was amazing! After all the stressful planning, we really were able to relax and have an incredible day.

Mother Nature - It was pouring all morning and I had given in to the fact that the ceremony would be inside and all of a sudden it stopped and the sun came out. Although it was really hot I was able to take pictures and have my ceremony outside. I couldn’t get over the fact that it wasn’t raining and was ecstatic that the sun was out.

North Ritz Club – A++++++++++++++++++ I cannot rave about this place enough. They were amazing from beginning to end. Everybody raved about the food and service and many said it was the best hall they had ever been too. George (the maitre d) was on top of everything and did an amazing job. My bridal assistant was also great and was able to get a foot print off my dress when my brother in law stepped right on it. Everything from when I booked them to the end of the party went smoothly. They really know how to throw a wedding. They were terrific!!

Code Bleu – A++++++ They were incredible. People are still raving about them and many people went up to them at the wedding praising them and asking for their cards. They did our song incredibly (Baby I’m amazed) and they had everyone dancing the whole evening.

Jack and Rose – A-. The flowers were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. The only trouble I had with them is that they are sometimes hard to get in touch with. But for the price, the product was great and they did a good job.

RJ Limousines – C the driver was amazing which is why they didn’t get an F. The company did not communicate at all to him. All they did was hand him the contract, which had the wrong time – I had changed the time about a month before and had confirmed the new time the day before. In addition, they didn’t tell him it was a wedding and they didn’t tell him we would be needing him for more than 6 hours. However, he ended up doing a great job once everything got ironed out.

Bella Invitations –A my invitations were great and Milissa did a great job.

Ambiance Salon (Jill and Kim) A+ They came to the hotel to do my hair and make-up and they did a fabulous job. Everyone couldn’t get over at the end of the night that my hair and make-up still looked exactly the same as before the ceremony.

Lilette’s Bridal Salon A I loved my dress and they did a great job with the alterations.

Honeymoon – Italy – A+++++++++++++++ I don’t think I can put enough +s to describe how amazing Italy is and how amazing a time we had. Everywhere we went was so fabulous (Sorrento, Positano, Rome, Florence and Venice) although Venice is now my favorite place in the whole world. We want to move there now – that’s how amazing Italy is.

Congratulations! I have always wanted to go to Italy! I think Venice is the most romantic place in the world.

Congratulazione! Italia e' molto bella. We wanted to go to Greece and Sicily (to see family) for our honeymoon, but early Dec. would make it a high of 55 degrees at best so we'll go another time. I've been to Italy 3 x's but always look for a way to return. Glad you had a great day!

I am glad that you had a wonderful wedding. Two questions -- at Jack & Rose, did you deal with Jack? We also signed with them for our May 2005 wedding and so far, Jack has been great. Also, did you use a travel agent for Italy? We plan to go to Venice, Florence, Rome and possibly Positano for our honeymoon and would like to use a good travel agent. I did use a travel agent and she was great. She set up everything - even rides to and from the train station or airport. If you want her info, fm me and i'll get it for you.

I don't have a scanner to post a pic right now but the cake was beautiful. I actually had a carrot cake with cream cheese filling and they told me it might not be as smooth but it looked awesome. It also tasted incredible. Although the only bite I had was when DH and I fed eachother, everyone raved about it.

besides flowers, was it decorated in any other way? or was the icing smooth?
