QOTD: What were your favorite toys to play with when you were young?

anything related to crafts
Barbie and her Barbie and the Rockers Tour Bus thingy
My Little Pony
Speak and Spell
any books by Christopher Pike
Rainbow Brite doll
Michael Jackson Thriller LP
and there are more I can't think of right now!

Wow - we could have grown up together!! Those were all my favorites too.

I loved Christopher Pike books!! I must confess I still read them every now and then!!

I also loved:

Shrinky Dinks
Fashion Plates!!!
Play-doh (my favorite was the Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop)
Glamour Gals (the tiny barbies)
A kit that you used to make "flowers" out of scented paper (can't remember what that was called)
Lite Brite
Wuzzles
and of course, Cabbage Patch Kids!!

Any Fisher Price Little People thing (my favorite was my FunJet).

I had a lot of Barbies & Dawn dolls too (mostly because I would give them haircuts so I always needed ew ones ...) and they "dated" my brother's GI Joes & Big Jim "action figures"

wwf wrestling figures, i used them so much the paint came off all the figures and you could hardly tell who was who, plus i had the ring and used it so much, by the time we threw it out, it had no floor

For some reason I can't remember that many toys! The memory she's not so good anymore
I do remember my Barbie which I think was Lifeguard Barbie or something - she had a red bathing suit. And I had a horse for her too - I loved that horse! I also had these things called Kerbangers (or I think they were called Click-Clacks too). I can't say they were one of my favorite toys because they bruised the crap out of my forearms!
I also loved my Big Wheels and my Weebles!
I can remember a lot of my sister's toys (she was spoiled ). I loved playing with her Strawberry Shortcake dolls and Dolly Pops. She also had the Barbie mansion with the elevator....

Bed Sheets (I used to make tunnels in the living room)
Some really large stuffed animals my father would get me. The bear was my dancing partner.
When my brother was around to play with me, we’d play Star Wars.


Mostly though, just my imagination. I spent a lot of time in my room alone.

ETA:
I had other toys like cabbage patch (Crystal Ann) and Barbie dolls, Legos, Army Men, real China Dolls my father bought me and other little things. But none would I call my ‘favorites’ other than those listed above.

That stupid glow worm went everywhere. It was so very dirty on it’s nose and cheeks. Might I add that thing was so freaking HARD!!!? Ever get hit by one? OUCH!

Hmm, i guess i was sort of a nerd! Actually, I remember my sister telling me that for my birthday (maybe 8th or 9th) she asked me what I wanted and I said "an educational toy." Forgot about that until now.

Yeah! Glow worms and Big Wheels were awesome! I also loved the tent that I pitched in my basement...I used to sit in it and play Tetris!

Awww... this is a cute question. It's bringing back all kinds of fond memories!

My favorites were stuffed animals. I had a lot of weird ones (a triceratops, a bison, a kangaroo). I acted out little "plays" with them.

I also loved anything involving Sesame Street or The Muppets.

My little Fisher Price record player got a LOT of use. I loved Broadway songs and movie soundtracks, plus holiday music (especially Halloween stuff).

And books! My favorites were about animals. And _James and the Giant Peach_ and _Willy Wonka_ were perennial favorites. I still love those.
