Re: NWR - W Hotel in Times Square

We've stayed there before. Its really nice. We had a room on the 30something floor with a view of times square. I think its a little odd that the lobby is on the 7th or something floor

ETA: Sorry-just re-read your post, I wasn't at an event

I wasnt there for an event - we stayed over there for my bachelorette party. From what I saw though I would think they would do an amazing job for an event though.

Re: NWR - W Hotel in Times Square

I went to a wedding at The W Hotel that's on Lex & like the 40's ... man, over four years ago!

I remember the cocktail hour food being AMAZING ... but I can't remember anything else!! Ah, senility!!

Re: NWR - W Hotel in Times Square

It's nice, but painfully trendy and packed with tourists. I went to a party there on a saturday night and it was a psycho scene. Food and drinks were good, but the amount of tourists in the cocktail lounge was 'ugh.'

I went another time to a party in a suite, and it was gogeous. We only started getting noise complaints at 3am.

If you are looking to party, it's a great place, if you are looking for a romantic getaway, don't do it!
