Indian food for lunch today - first time!

Hi everyone - I'm going to an Indian resturant for lunch today for my first venture into Indian cooking! Any suggestions? I LOVE mild food, so no-a spicy meatballs!

I usually go to the Curry Club in Stony Brook and I get the buffet there so I don't know what anything is called! I usually eat a lot of rice and bread woiththe spicy stuff and I am OK!

ps I have a very bad stomach!

Cultures are so funny!

Over here in London, Indian food is everywhere. It's like pizza for us!! Everyone has 'a curry' on their way home from the bars!!!

I just don't really like it. I'll eat it if I have to, but I just don't like the consistency of much of the food. Good luck!

mmmm, I love Indian food and now I am in the mood for it. I don't know the names of what I eat, but I eat it all. Some rest. let you chose the degree of heat. Enjoy!!!

Thanks everyone!

I have to say - my first Indian food venture was a success! It was SO GOOD!!! I had samosas for an appetizer and Chana Masala for the main entree - VERY YUMMY! I'm definitly going to look for some Indian resturants in our neighboorhood now, if I can get DH to come me that is!

My husband is English and mad over Indian food. I had it for the first time in England and loved it!

I love Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka, Korma, Samosas...Rogan Josh is my favorite though.

I would recommend Tandoori Chicken or Korma your first time out.
