Danielle and I's August 14th Wedding & Honeymoon at the Huntington Townhouse - Added Pictures

Hello Everyone.
Well Danielle and I were finally married August 14th and I have to say that everything went off smoothly. The wedding day was a complete blur to both Danielle and I. It went so fast. As soon as the ceremony ended, I could not believe how fast the cocktail hour and reception went. Danielle and I never got to eat dinner or dessert. So I couldnt tell you if we enjoyed the food or not. I could tell you that other people said the food was amazing and everything else was amazing too. I am hearing that it was one of the best weddings that people have gone too...The DJ, Photographers and everyone else that was there that day were amazing. The florist also did an excellent job. Even though Danielle says that the Bo-k's could of been bigger.
Below you will find my full review of the wedding and of our honeymoon. I do not have any pictures right now that I can post, but as soon as my home pc is up and running, I will scan all the pics that were taken with the table cameras.

Here we go:
I will start with DUET. A++++++++++++++
The only reviews I have for DUET are positive Reviews. Although Danielle and I have not seen any of our proofs yet, I have to say that ERIC, AlBERTO, WOO, and the camera man that was there were excellent. Very Nice, and very funny. They arrived at Danielle's house around 11am and started taking pictures of Danielle getting ready. I came up stairs after getting dressed in my apartment and they started filming and taking pictures of me too. I havve to say that it is really wierd being photographed and video'd all day....I felt like Danielle and I were movie stars, and they were our paparattzi lol. Alberto can also have a job at the florist. He was putting all the guys Flowers on their lapels. It was really funny. WOO was great. He knew how to make people smile. I do not smile and he got me to. And Eric was just really nice.....I kept telling him to jump into some of the pictures, but he wouldnt. He was walking around holding our money bag...It was Hysterical.

Flower Barn A++++++++++++++++
Next up is our florist. This is the second florist that we went to. Our first florist we calncelled with after seeing stuff at their shop we didnt like. Anyway, I have to say that the flowers were beautiful, the high centerpieces were really nice and the flowers in the bo-k's were beautiful too.

Party Sensation A++++++++++++++++
I saw this DJ perform at my friends wedding and I can only say one thing about them - Amazing. My mother and Danielle's mother said they have been getting phone calls from people that attended the wedding about the DJ. If you are interested in using Party Sensation ask for RICK. You will not be dissappointed.
When we booked them, we got a dancer too. Lets just say that the dancer was a waste of money. We didnt need her at all. She just stood there in front of the dj booth most of the night. The music was so great, that people were up dancing most of the night...including myself who never dances.
The DJ also supplied the music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. He let us pick out all of our music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception hour. The music we picked for the ceremony was perfect. I cannot wait to see the DVD.

Royalty Limo A------------------------------
The reason that Royalty is getting an A- and not an A+ is that Danielle and I were a little upset with the limo drivers on the day of the wedding. We had planned to go to the Planting Fields to take pictures before heading to the huntington townhouse, and when the Limos got to Danielle's house both drivers had no idea we were going to the planting fields, and they had no idea on how to get there. Keep in mind that Danielle and I told the person we booked the limo's with and the person that we finalized everything with that we were planning on going there. We figured they would get directions to the planting fields or ask us to get them directions before they picked us up but they never did. So basically we got lost for about 45 minutes on the way to the park. We finally made it there and took the pictures. It started to rain about 30 minutes in, and we started walking back to the Limos. On our way back Both limo drivers showed up with large Umbrellas and Walked Danielle and I back to the car. I have to say that was a really nice touch. After that the service was great. We got to the townhouse and there werent any other problems that day. The limos were all very clean and stocked with beverages. The drivers were also very nice. They helped Danielle with her train so it wouldnt get wet.

We also used the Limos for service to and from the airport. The car that was supposed to pick us up at 4:30am broke down and we had to wait 30 minutes longer for another car to pick us up and bring us to the airport, but that was not a big problem. On the way home, we got picked up in a 10 pass black lincoln limo and the Limo driver was really nice. I would recommend Royalty and I would use them again.

Huntington Townhouse: A+++++++++++++
WOW. What a Beautiful Place to have a wedding. Everything was perfect. Not one Problem. The Bridal Attendant was excellent. Danielle and I found that the guys and the girls were going to her if they needed something. The MD was never around. I have to say that the Bridal Attendant was top notch. If you get married there ask for Tricia as your BA, you will not regret it. The question is not - What did she do for us?? The question should be what didnt she do for us?? She did everything. She was always there to help and she was very professional.

When we got there HTH had food set up for the guys and the women. That was the only time I ate the day of the wedding.

After that we had to take pictures and get ready for the ceremony. The ceremony was amazing. Danielle and I had an interfaith wedding. We had a Rabbi and a Priest. People are still talking about the rabbi and the priest. They did an excellent job. The priest is very down to earth, and has a great sense of humor. Danielle and I were so nervous. I was fine up to the moment that they opened the doors to the chapel....Then I got nervous. All in all everything went great. It was a Beautiful ceremony. The cocktail hour and reception went so fast. I remember Danielle telling me it was 9:30 and then I remember the DJ playing our last song. I could not believe it was over. The food was excellent...That is what I heard at least. lol.

Rabbi Applestone A+++++++
Very nice man. He showed up on time and did an excellent job. I would recommend him.

MSGR Jim Lisante A++++++++++
If anyone needs someone for an interfaith ceremony, I recommend these two men. They both did an excellent job. MSGR Jim Lisante is so down to earth and he has an excellent sense of humor. He had Danielle and I write summaries for each other and he read them at the wedding. That was a really great part of the ceremony. Danielle and I were both crying.

Roslyn Claremont A---------------------
This is where Danielle and I stayed for our wedding night. WE had a suite. It was very nicely decorated. The room had a 4 poster bed that was too firm, and a very nice marble and tile bathroom. We were there from 2am till 12 noon. We had late checkout but left early because we couldnt get breakfast in our room. That is why I gave the Claremont A-.



The Honeymoon
Sandals Grande St Lucian - St Lucia A+++++++++++++++++++

This place was amazing. Once you go inclusive you cannot go anywhere else. It was great knowing that we didnt need money for anything. It was just wierd getting used to it. You are not allowed to tip anyone. If you do they can get fired. It was so strange to go to a restaurant and get up when you were finished without leaving a tip or paying a bill. I think next year we are going to do Sandals in the Bahamas or Antigua for our year anniversary.
The only complain Danielle and I both had about the trip was the bus ride from the airport to the resort and from the resort to the airport. It was 1 hour and 30 minutes of windy roads and high speeds. It was very wierd to get used to everyone driving on the opposite side of the street, and the steering wheel was on the other side of the car. If you are going to go to St Lucia, I recommend taking dramamine, or ginger before you get on the bus.
The food was excellent and plentiful. Same goes for the Alchohol. They had so many awesome drinks. We brought home bottles of St Lucias finest rum for our family, and we got ourselves a big bottle of rum too.
Most of the time Danielle and I went to the pool. We didnt go on any excursions. We basically wanted time to relax, and we did that. I was so upset that we had to go home.

So that is my review. I will post pics when I have them....I only have one for a teaser...Look at how Beautiful my wife looked.

I have to add on my review for my hair and make-up (and yes, this is Danielle...lol)

Hair by Helga A+++++++++++++++++++
I have known Helga for many years. She came to my house after having being a guest at a wedding the night before and did my hair, my two maid of honors and my mom's. Everyone loved our hair and was complimenting it all night. She is absolutley wonderful. She works out of Millineum in Merrick.

Make- Up A++++++++++++++++++++++
Jeanette, a friend of a friend was once again absolutley wonderful. She came to the house and did mine, my two maid of honors and my mom. She did an awesome job. I had a trial with her a week before and asked her to make my liner a little darker. She did what ever we asked. And she is a great person. She is a make-up artist on the side as her second income, so she comes to you. And she is soooooooo reasonable.

Feldman Esquire A++++++++++++++
For Tuxedo's we used Feldman Esquire of Lynbrook and Merrick. We dealt with Michael, and I have nothing but good things to say about him and his business. The tuxedos were very nice, and clean...and the shoes were fine too. He gave us a great deal for the groomsman and also for our fathers. He even let some of the guys pickup and drop off their tuxedos in Merrick instead of coming all the way to Lynbrook. One of our friends were in the hospital up until the week before the wedding, and Michael told him that he could come in the week of the wedding to be measured. I recommend him highly and I would use his service again.

Your picture is awesome - you both look wonderful! Tell Danielle she is radiant in the picture. I love her tiara. And you look so handsome!

Isn't Msgr Lisante the best? He worked with my mother for years and when she passed away he asked if he could also be on the altar to say mass with the pastor of the Church. We found that to be so touching. He is just such a wonderful man. Good sense of humor too.

I agree, that bus ride to Sandals is horrible!!!! I did when I was there. There is an airport that is much closer to the hotel area but you would have to use connection flights to get there.

We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon also...AMAZING!!! But we arrived at the airport that is closer, so we missed the bus ride - I heard it's terrible!!
