Does Anyone know where in Suffolk Madonna Heights School is and what kind of school it is exactly??

I got a phone call today for a special ed position, and I'm just curious as to what kind of school it is, elementary, high school, special school. I already took a job elsewhere, but am just curious. For anyone looking for a special ed job, you may want to give them a call, they are looking. I didn't talk to the guy, he left a message, but he said he got my resume from another school district. Thanks!!

When I was younger - girls that I knew who got in trouble with the law - were sent there.
I don't know what kind of school it is but I'm guessing its a school for troubled kids.

We used to pass it on the way to my aunt's house when I was a kid and I'm pretty sure the sign in front used to say 'School for Wayward Girls' back in the 70's!!!!!!



ETA: I always thought it was where they sent teenage girls when they were 'with child'

It's a school for 'bad girls.' We had quite a few girls going back and forth there last year from our school. Also, I know someone who is a guidance counselor there and to be quite honest, she's pretty miserable.

It is not only a school for Bad Girls it is also a school for abused and neglecticed tennage girls, I do missionary outreach there with a youth group from my church. Most of the girls are good hearted and never had anyone teach them right from wrong, and 9 out of 10 girls were abused in many ways.

Yes it is a school for girls that have troubles mentally ,physically spiritually , Not Bad.

My cousin went there for 2 years...she was a terror, she cut school, and beat people up and was getting into other kinds of un-metionable trouble...It's a girls school basically for those who cannot function in a regular school envirnoment.

My friend taught there for a year or two and I remember her loving it. It would probably frighten the cr@p out of me though. I'm not a tough cookie!

That's what I thought. I knew of a bunch of girls from high school that were sent there.
