to tiara or not - that is the question

well here it is the wedding getting closer and closer - and i have been running around doing things - so all is right with the world - yes? NO
i come home to find the new puppy has managed - please dont ask how to open up the door to the storage room and gotten into my box with wedding stuff - well of all the things he could possible chew on - of course it is my headpiece - so i count to 10 and try to breathe... but it is really damaged -
so now the question
do i repair the one i have - if we can do that - note it is a custom made piece that i went all the way upstate to pick up being i didnt trust the post office with it
do i try to replace it?
or do i call it a day and get flowers or something?
what do you gals think?
my mom and fh are trying to talk me out of driving upstate to get another piece - i am really upset with the dog - but just dont know what to do now.

thanks in advance for thoughts and advise -
anyone want a slightly used dog???

Re: to tiara or not - that is the question

I am not getting a tiara- it didn't go with my hairstyle- what about Swarkoski crystal hair pins. They have on ebay for only ten bucks and I love that look.

Don't be too mad at the puppy- what do they know of weddings

Re: to tiara or not - that is the question

Brodie and I have had our rounds with wedding stuff too. He ruined my MOH gift that I ordered special on ebay for over $100. Not my favorite dog that day!!

I think flowers would look great, especially given your theme and feel of the other things you have described at your wedding.

But if you have your heart set on a headpiece, I say do it. You don't want anything taking away from your day.

Re: to tiara or not - that is the question

I would say get another one. But resign yourself to trusting the POST OFFICE this time!!! If you're already considering going tiara-less, then that's what you were meant to do should your tiara suffer some inexplicable plight on it's way downstate!

Re: to tiara or not - that is the question

Now that you can track things on the Post office website (www.usps.gov) I would give it a shot. I think you can buy postal insurance (the seller would have to buy it for you and fill out the forms) and then give you the tracking #.
How far upstate? If you have a picture, bring it to Yana at Tri-County (Barron's Bridals). She is very good and will duplicate almost any tiara.

Re: to tiara or not - that is the question

What did your headpiece look like. If it is not too $$$ get a new one, buthave it shipped. Don't get a regular tiara, it won't go with your look. Maybe a wreath of dried flowers? Not sure where toget that though? Unless you go to the Rennaisance fair, I think it is on untill at least this weekend ( I'm in Westchester, I don't consider that upsate, but I don't know if it is much closer than your head piece place.)

If you get a new one, keep it at someone else's house!
