Anyone interested in a guest review: Swan Club!

My parents and some other friends attended a wedding at Swan club.. and here is there review as told.

First impression was that it was a beautiful place. Mom said it was a great setting for a summer wedding.

Cocktail hr : There was a decent amount of food which included shrimp, and lobster, people ate the shrimp but did not touch the lobster..she felt this was due to its appearance..But people were eating and having a good time..main complaint was not enough seating..guests were mumbling about that..this could be because it was a large wedding.

Reception: They liked the food, selections were Duck, Steak and Salmon. Most ordered the Duck & Steak but few ordered the salmon. Said it was good, most people ate and were drinking ALOT ..Good sign Mom had the steak, said it was Ok since it was not done as well as she would have liked. Dad had the duck..enjoyed it, but felt there should have been a chicken choice.

Overall they had a fun time, they did not have enough time to dance unfortunately since the Dj kept stopping to play games and other presentations the bride and groom had requested. Think they danced all of 45 mins combined.

So you Swan clubbers have nothing major to worry about.

Lots of reviewers comment on a lack of seating during the cocktail hour. I always think that is interesting because there should not be a lot of tables. The purpose of a cocktail hour is to mingle and NOT to sit down. Thanks for the review.

yeah of course you should mingle at the CH but would you honestly want to be standing for 60 minutes if everyone else snatched up a seat....and especially in those high heels some women wear to a wedding- yeow!

Re: Anyone interested in a guest review: Swan Club!

Well these guests had a solution..they wandered into the dinner room and pushed aside the rolls etc because many refused to stand. Sorry, if you are serving food that requires a person to cut it ... expect to sit.

Oh and my mom said for desert..dont get the canolis withh ice cream ????? Alot went back to the kitchen. She said a must have is the seafood though..but forgo the lobster.

There is more but if you have any specific questions I can give some input..such as parking etc.
