Re: Bus companies
I called a few and they are very pricey. One had a great, low cost, idea that I will probably do yet I haven't followed up on it yet. A school bus. In the summer they are not used and the school bus companies are always looking for some extra cash during the summer. She (women at a shuttle bus place I called) said (she didn't have the name) that a school bus company in Commack has buses for about $300 for the whole day. Just a thought or different avenue to pursue if it interests you.

Re: Bus companies
thank you for the idea - but i can't use a school bus because it is too much like a formal to all my guests because all the sororiety and fraternity formals in college used school buses to get us safely there and backAny other ideas

Re: Bus companies
I oversee tranportation for School Busses and you do not want to use a school bus in the summer months. The AC is so awful if it even works on most of the busses. Plus they can get very dirty. We are using Alert Coach Bus which is a division of Acme Bus Co. & Baumann Bus. I got a deal because of I know them but they are still cheaper then the rest. And they are more formal.

Re: Bus companies
I feel obligated to report my bad experience, and Robeymuses as well with H+J transportation. That said, to be fair, a bride used them recently, (was it bellepoque, maybe?) and was very pleased.

Re: Bus companies
Barakabella-Yep it was me who used H+J and had a good experience. But I have you and Robeymuse to thank for the improvement in service we received. Because of your posts I assigned one of my bridesmaids--who also happens to be an attorney, to help with the bus and make sure that everything went smoothly. I also spoke with H+J several times prior to the wedding. So thank you
