Flowers: wholesale vs. sm flower shop (long)
I need your help. Today we went to see two florists. First we went to Flowermichele, a smaller flower shop. We liked the fact that they didn't do a lot of weddings at once, they really took the time to ask us what we wanted, and how knowledgeable Michele was about the flowers. It was a more intimate feel. We felt special. However, the price was a little more than we had budgeted.
Our next stop was Burtons. They spent like five minutes with us, gave us a quote and we were on our way. We liked, however that the price wasn't based on the flowers you chose and that they were not expensive at all. But We didn't feel special. They told us they did 30 weddings just this weekend. It seemed more "factory like" and that we wouldn't know exactly who would be taking care of our wedding.
So I guess the question is would you sacrifice intimacy for price. Should we go with the larger more traditional place or go for the smaller more expensive place. I'm so torn. Help!! Thanks for listening.

I think there's a whole spectrum in between flower michele and burton's. Look at some more before you decide. i'm sure you'll find the right balance of intimacy/service and price.
personally, I'm going to go with someone on the more personal side of the spectrum. I feel like they'll be more concnerned with making MY day perfect, not getting 30 sets of flowers out in time.

I was at Burton's today also. I was doing my semi finals with them and was undecided about what to use and what colors will go good, and she was totally helpful showed me so many different ideas. They were recommended to me from a friend, but don't get me wrong we went and visited several other florists, but FH liked Burtons the first time we went.
Look around if you want that personalized feeling. JMO
