Gifts at rehearsal dinner
What do I get my Dad? Any suggestions? He is giving us about 3000.00 towards wedding, not paying for whole wedding

I never knew you were supposed to get the parents gifts. Hmmm.... I have no idea what I would get my parents. That's a tough one.

Re: Gifts at rehearsal dinner
Since we are primarily paying for our own wedding, with some contributions from parents, we decided to make the parents' albums their gifts. They originally offered to pay for their own, but we thought by paying for them it would be a nice gift that they would enjoy. Also, we are making sure they all get copies of the video. However, as a small token to give at the rehearsal dinner, I found these great hankies at Hallmark that have the family member (like 'dad,' 'mom,' etc.) embroidered on it and it comes with a pretty poem that I found really perfect. There are other hankies with designs accompanied by poems for the bridal party, godparents, grandparents, etc. I just thought they were sweet and I believe they were between $15 to $20.

I'm going with the hankies as well, but I'm not sure what else yet...

Parents: For DH's parents we bought them tickets to see Boeing, Boeing on B'way and dinner at their favorite steakhouse. For my parents we are taking them to Niagara Falls for Memorial Day. We also brought them parent handkerchiefs.Welcome New Vendors
