What color dress is your mom wearing?

Just wanted to see what color everyone's mother is wearing. My mom is choosing between black and turquiose. I love both of them!

my mom said shes like to do either black or navy...somthing a bit darker for the slimming effect

I always hear people saying not to wear black?? Why is this? It really doesn't matter to me, I think black is elegant. Any thoughts?

Back in the day if a bride or a groom's mother wore black it meant that they opposed the wedding.

i think it cause black is a 'funeral' type color... who knows, i absolutely love black and might even have my bm's wear it too!!! my mom asked if i would care if she wore black, for the slimming effect as well, and i looked at her like she had 10 heads.... i was like noooo why would I???? i also think its very elegant.

purple- not lavender but alittle bit darker! she looks great in purple - my fmil is wearing a pewter/silver color.

My momma is wearing a dress in burgandy she looks wonderful in it... she's gonna show me up at the wedding because she has lost 75+ pounds my MIL has not picked a dress yet...

Brown...the same color as my bridesmaids.... The dress look so gorgeous on her I couldn't protest the color.
