OMG! My dad just found the greatest thing!

My dad just handed me this envelope and I opened it and inside was the invitation to my godmother's wedding in 1978!!! It's in PERFECT condition! He said he saved it all these years! It almost made me cry. My daddy's so sweet

WEll, the best thing is that my dad usually throws EVERYTHING out! And I mean everything! So the fact that he saved that was so sweet

How special. Why not put it on display at your own wedding -- I have never been, but I am sure a place like the Bourne has all sorts of mantles and surfaces for you to display it?

Ooo! That's SUCH a great idea Deb!!! Thanks! That's awesome. We were planning on putting old pictures on the mantle, so maybe I'll put it next to their wedding picture!

It seems we think alike. I also have been planning on putting pictures of our parents wedding on display. And I found a mint condition of my mom and dad's invitation I would like to display as well. FI parents had a small impromtu wedding and don't have a copy of the invite. Would it be rude to put out one invite and not the other?
