HELP!!! Photo Locations in suffolk County
I am getting married in 27 days and we still haven't picked a place to take our photos. Our church is in Nassau county but the reception will be in West Islip. I don't really want to miss the cocktail hour OR arrive when all the guests arrive. What's a nice location in Suffolk to take pictures?

I dont know where the La Grange Inn is, but we took our pics at the Islip La Grange... Its a park type place... Our pics came out great.. Have you driven by the arboretum (sp?) That has really great lake shots... a little walking, but not bad, as well as lovely path and tree shots... They are probably like 5-10 minutes east of you reception site. Your guests nomally sit around and BS for a little bit before hopping in there cars and heading to the reception site, especially if theres a gap between ceremony and CH...Good Luck!

Re: HELP!!! Photo Locations in suffolk County
On Montauk Hwy there is a park that a lot of brideal parties take pics at. It's the one with the water falls (3 or 4) underneath a white bridge. It's pretty much down the road from your reception hall and they have a lake there too. Also, if you don't mind the travel, there is the Northport Harbor (which is not too close to where your reception is). I got engaged there, but I am not sure if they are still doing construction over there.
Your reception hall is by the water, so you should be able to find some nice places. You can also check out the State Parks/Beaches

Hi we were thinking about getting our pics at the Grange in Sayville - did you need to call someone to use the area and did you have to pay a fee?

How about SUNY Farmingdale botanical garden. The area is absolutely gorgeous. I don't know if there is a site fee.
