Quick Question on Place Cards- please help

What is the etiquette for people who are engaged or in a serious relationship? Do they go on the same place card or on separate place cards? What did everyone do?

Re: Quick Question on Place Cards- please help

To be honest with you I really don't know if it is proper, but if they are engaged or very involved I would put them on the same card. JMO

Re: Quick Question on Place Cards- please help

if Mr Joe Schmoe is accompanied by a guest then i would only use Mr. Joe Schmoe. if you are close with both joe and jane then i would put both names on seperate cards. this makes them feel more special that they get to have their own.
but the etiquette is to have Mr/Dr/etc Joe Schmoe on the place card.
hope this helps you.

Re: Quick Question on Place Cards- please help

If they have set a date we are doing 'the soon to be mr and mrs' as a way of acknowledging them, if not we are doing all on the same as well with the two names on top of each other...the last few weddings I went to with FH thats how they did it.
I have no idea whats the proper way to do it though.

Re: Quick Question on Place Cards- please help

We did separate place cards for everyone and did not address anyone as Mr. or Mrs. or Ms. or Miss. Just there first name and last name. I think you can go with any of the suggestions so far and be okay.
