My 9/19 Wedding Review - Riviera (with pics)

Well what can I say but this was the best day of my life! Everything was perfect including the weather.



Hair: Sarah Rock from Gorgeous Faces A+++++++++++++++++++
Sarah was amazing. She did everything I wanted and she is such a doll. I got so many compliments on my hair and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Makeup: Denise Angel eyes A++++++++++++++++++
Denise was amazing also she also did my MOH's makeup and it was perfect. Once I had my makeup done I started to feel like a real bride. My makeup stayed all day.

The Riviera: A++++++++++++++++
I love the Riviera and they did a great job. There were a few things I was disappointed in. I had asked for Robert J as our MatrieD and we were told that he would be handling our affair but on the day we got Scott. Also one other thing was we had picked out our menu and requested Prime rib but got Chateau Briand. I was really looking forward to the prime rib all day and was very disappointed when we were told that we couldn’t have it. Really those are the only two things that I wasn’t completely happy with but overall it was great. The food was outrageous and the place was beautiful. I was told by one guest “it was like a Hollywood scene”

Shoe Elegance (Lynbrook): F
Well my shoe broke half way through the reception. Thank goodness for the photographer who had duct
tape which saved the day. Not that I didn’t love my shoes, but for fifty bucks they could have made it through the day.

Princess Bridal (Farmingdale): B
Of course I loved my dress and it fit perfect but with a lot of resistance from the person who did the alterations. The front of my dress was too loose and she kept telling me and my Mother that there was nothing that could be done with it since there was so much beadwork. But my Mother complained about this because this was the one thing they told us would be “no problem” to alter when we had purchased the dress. Well we said we wouldn’t take the dress unless they did these alterations and of course they did. But overall the outcome was perfect, it was my dream dress and I will love it forever!

Macy’s Bridal (Manhasset): A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Loved my hairpins they were a big hit!!!!

Bridal Reflections (Massapequa): A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
They were wonderful. The bridesmaid/MOH dresses came in early all alterations were done on time.

RSVP Tuxes: A
The service was very good and they were attentive. The only complaint, and it is a little one was that two of the shirts had small stains on them but RSVP quickly fixed the problem. They have a very wide selection of Tuxes and prices were reasonable and they even further reduced the group rate. We were married on a Sunday and they had store hours which was comforting incase of any last minute problems.

Wedding Center (Commack): A
I have to say overall everything was great. A few minor annoyances but nothing substantial.

** Photographer (In house) Eric: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Eric was wonderful and so was his wife Peg. He was fun loving, focused and well prepared. Not only did he fix my shoe but also seemed to save the cake that was tipping over. None of the wait staff wanted to fix it and out of nowhere here came Eric to save the day. He didn’t monopolize our time taking pictures but was determined to get the best shots with plenty of time to spare so we could enjoy our wedding.

Ok got proofs back and I am not lovin them. Not that they are bad, just they are not the best. I thought they would be wonderful some are and some aren't. I also only got 310 of them. Wish I had more!
** Videographer (In house): Fred A+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Didn’t even know he was at the wedding, so good job. The only bad thing was he stood in front of DH while I was walking down the aisle and I was unable to see him because of the Video Light.
** Silk Flowers (Jackie’s Silk Flowers): A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wonderful, everyone thought they were real and I still have them and they just as good as that day….lol
**Limo’s (Mark of Elegance) : A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Perfect! They were early, got us there on time and walked us through everything.

Honeymoon Aruba:

Best vacation of my life. We stayed at the Divi and loved every minute of it!

Congratulations.. yay..we got married on the same day Didn't the day turn out beautiful? Cold but beautiful!
You made a beautiful bride. Sorry hear you're not too crazy about your pictures. I'm sure they look great just focus on the memories of that day.
