But I don't have one yet. I am thinking of a cage style or none at all. I am looking into antique 20's style headpieces to wear on the back of a low sitting bun. My dress is very simple elegant so I don't want fussy hair.

I'm on the fence about this as well. I don't know what kind will NOT clash with my dress. I bought one from ebay to use for trials- it is a single layer, elbow length.

if I get the dress that I am thinking of getting (going in two weeks ) it has a flower on the skirt, so I would probably do a flower in my hair

I have my heart set on a silk tulle or silk chiffon cathedral length veil. I havent even picked a dress yet, but I know I which veil I want!!!

I am having a 2-tier fingertip length silk tulle veil. My aunt is making it for me .

seeing as how I don't have a dress, I should not be thinking of veils. but I do.

I like 'antiquey' looking things - almost spanish/italian old-school style.

Mantillas are just lovely...

Either way, I may obsess over getting silk-tulle instead of regular. pricey, but the difference is huge!

It's silk tulle - what a 'real' veil is supposed to be made of, and was in the olden days. It's pricey though! I think I am goig to buy it wholesale and have my mother make it for me. Doesn't it fall so amazing!?

I am going to use my MOH's as my something borrowed, but I don't have a pic of it. It is a tiara with 2 or 3 tiers of tulle if I remember correctly.

Oh, Bunny, I SO love that pic and the hair! I am not a flower in hair fan but that so fits with your Italian vineyard proposition!
Also, I think you can do silk much less expensively with a little easy how to.

Deb, so sorry to sabatoge your post, but have any of you ladies found silk tulle on the island? Im having a tough time finding it anywhere and I would appreciate anyone's help.

Yes I am in love with a cathedral veil as well over a low bun in the back.

All I know is that I want a Cathedral veil. I'm thinking about a Mantilla one, but the one my designer makes is about $800. UGGH. I really love it though. I'm hoping that I can take a picture of my dress to Barrons and they make me one.

Bethsiar posted a great way to do it -- FM her, she is totally helpful -- she actually got it for like $25 from the UK and had it made here, cheaper than tulle.
