Lands End Brides--- Ceremony advice

We have to make a final decion about where we are going to have our ceremony-- at Lands End or in church.

A few questions:

Is the sound system outside good? (I hate going to an outdoor wedding and not being ale to hear a thing.)

Where do you put readers/singers during the ceremony-- in the gazebo?

We are inviting 200. Do you think it will be cramped?

I love the look and feel of an outside ceremony, but I am not at all thrilled about the prospect of getting married in the ballroom if it rains. The pictures of the inside setup that they have in the book are not making me feel any better about it. Does anyone have any suggestions about alternate decorations to help make the ballroom different for the ceremony? Anyone have any pictures of a nice inside setup there? I don't want to spend the next seven months terrified that it will rain.

Our church is really beautiful, so I'm torn.
My FI really wants the outdoor ceremony, but I'm not sold. I'm hoping that you ladies will help allay some of my fears.

Thanks!

Re: Lands End Brides--- Ceremony advice

OK, first of all, I love LANDS END.... if I had the loot I would have booked there. So kudos for you.

Ok, my co-worker's son got married there and they had an outdoor ceremony. They had 190 guests and she said everyone fit just fine. They had beautiful weather and she said it was magical.

Here is my opinion, You take a HUGE chance with the weather. If it rains you will have to get married in the ball room, which is also lovely, but for peace of mind, I would get married in the church. You can always have the cocktail hour outside. That palce in general just rocks no matter what you deicide.

I hope this helps....
