Question for gals/guys who work on computers all day
Do you get headaches from looking at the computer screen at work? I have never had this problem before, but all of a sudden when I am at work I get massive headaches.I am afraid that it is messing with my eyes...does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Question for gals/guys who work on computers all day
Yes I did. When I'm in MS Word, I go to the Tools, Options, General tab, and click on the white text with blue background - it causes less glare and is easier to read in my opinion. There are also anti-glare screens that you can put over your monitor.

I think I will try to req. one from the supply manager, but they haven't even approved my gel rest yet, so I am not holding my breath.I will try that blue b/r white letter trick.
Thanks

I did this too, to light grey and it makes SUCH a difference. I get aura before my migraines and get patchy vision and brightness provokes it sometimes. They got me a flatscreen monitor here and i changed the white in the background and it makes a huge difference.

Oh, I didn't do it in word, I did it on the main screen through properties, background, etc. so every proram i open is light grey.

I had the same problem about 4 years ago and that is when my eye doctor told me that I needed to use glasses for the computer and I needed to try to push my moniter further away from my eyes. Since I have gotten the glasses and pushed my moniter back (which has been about a year ago for this) I don't have any headaches from looking at the computer anymore. I would try to get your eyes checked just to see if all the time on the computer is affecting your eyes.

This is what I am afraid of b/c then I wll not be able to wear my contacts to work anymore.

I am actuallly pretty far away from my monitor...it is in the corner part of my desk, so I think if I were to push it any further back I would not be a ble to read it, but I am probably going to have to give in & get the glasses.
