Past & Present -High Risk Girls Question

If you thought or knew you were a high risk, did you first go to a regular OB Doctor for a referral or did you go directly to a High Risk doctor?

Re: Past & Present -High Risk Girls Question

I'm a high risk patient because I have 2 large fibroids in my uterus that can cause me to go into premature labor. Although, I knew I had the fibroids beforehand, they were waaaay smaller when I got pregnant. I just continued to see my regular OB/GYN. They saw that the fibroids had grown when I went for my level 2 sono and they labeled me high risk and even put me on bed rest approximately 2 months later but I still go to the same practice. They just decided that they wanted to see me every 2 weeks instead of every month.

Re: Past & Present -High Risk Girls Question

Very often women are put into 'high risk' for totally stupid reasons. Like being 35
You should find an OB you are comfortable with and discuss all of your medical concerns and then do research and LOTS of it before figuring out if you truly are high risk or not.
