OK - feeling much better. Tried on my very first wedding dress - PICS attached ---VENTING!!! anyone work with FI and deal with this crap?

FI and I sort of work together. His company does work for my company and sometimes he is even in my office building. That is not even why I'm pissed.

This weekend FI's company worked in my office and we typically have someone work the fax department on Saturdays. The woman who worked this weekend in the fax department is known as the most scandalous secretary in the office. She came to our company about 11 years ago since she slept her way through her last job - which was confirmed by other people who worked at that law firm.

Anyway, she dresses like she is going to work a pole or something although she's about 40 years old and not in the shape to wear such clothes - even some see through stuff. She has propositioned FI several times over the years including inviting him to some all girls trip to the Poconos about 3 years ago.

Did I mentioned she's married and has been for at least 10 years?!?! He never went although he was polite and took the number she gave him.

So, this woman knows FI from work and also because she auditioned for a video shoot he did 10 years ago (FI was a musician in a former life). So, basically she was a groupie who still chases him down all the time even though he ignores her as much as possible. She even complained to a friend of mine that FI gives her no attention when she is showing as much skin as possible at work. LOL

She has even resorted to following him around the building on the days he works in this office. She waited for him for like 10 minutes at the elevator one day when she saw him come into my office and close the door. He went to the elevator and she was still there and had not even hit the call button.

This same woman, who was my assistant in 2000, lied to FI in 2000 when he first asked her about me and if I was involved. She told him I was a really mean person and horrible to work for as a secretary.

My issue is that a lot of people at work do not know for sure that FI and I are together. We've kept it from everyone since 2003 except my close friends and my assistant.

People here are just sooooo nosey. We went away to Paris for my birthday in March and my assistant told me that people asked her if I went to Paris with FI since some people knew he was out of the country on vacation in paris. My assistant, per my instructions, said I was in Jamaica for my birthday. LOL LOL The people that asked are not even people I work with or talk - they are just nosey %sses.

So, my reason for all this is my scandalous former secretary hit on FI this weekend and he told her to basically bug off. She sort of knows we are together but can't confirm it.

So, today a guy that works in the mailroom or something asked FI if he was involved, if it's serious and was he getting married!!!! She totally put this guy up to it, I know that much, and I totally want to go to her cubicle (on my floor) and smack her silly for being so nosey.

FI put her in her place a while ago when she asked him about me 3 times in one week. He asked if she was 'obessed' with me and she has not asked him anything else about me since then.

I am so pissed with these nosey people. They are all like 35 - 40 years old and apparently have no lives. So much so that they all will die if they don't find out if FI and I are really involved. FI told me not to say anything and that she will find out for sure just like everyone else - when I get my ring in a few weeks.

I still want to punch this chick!!!!

ETA- I'm over it now. I called every authorized Bonny dealer in Manhattan and none had a sample of the dress I want to try. I did find one store in Chinatown that had a very similar dress though and I went to try it on. It's the very first time I ever tried on a wedding dress too. It was pretty fun and it was actually a size 6. I always heard dresses ran small. I guess that's designers other than Mori Lee.

Its not worth all the drama. If you step up to her its just going to be food for the gossip pirhana. Instead, keep tellling FH to tell her its none of her business. After all, he's YOUR fiance so you have nothing to worry about.

Wow! I work in a law firm too so I know how NOSEY people can be! But trust me, the best revenge will be that sparkle on your third finger, left hand. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, for your own sake and peace of mind, say anything to this chick. It will only feed the gossip mill and make working there unbearable in the future. But girl, I know how you feel.

What pisses me off is that none of this would change their lives in any way!!! Nosey witches!!!

He's known this chick for like 10 years and if he wanted her (married or not) it would have happened. I will not say anything to her but damn!!! This has been going on months - since like February or March when they first got an inkling of our relationship.

My grandma always said, why you are busy minding someone else's business, your is getting away - and this chicks marriage is on the rocks. She wants everyone to know she's in the market too since she would normally NEVER share any of her personal life. She has told people her marriage is over. She even once cursed out a colleague about 10 years ago for mentioning she was a newlywed. She said to that woman that she did not want people at work in her business. The nerve!!!!

ETA: I won't say anything but I hope to God I can get a picture of her face (or at least a report of it) when she is finally able to get confirmation that we are engaged. I may send my secretary to infiltrate. LOL

I would say don't worry about her. Is she really worth agrivating yourself over? Doesn't sounds like it and frankly if it is torturing her so much not knowing then good...let her continue to question! She's not worth it. Just bask in the thought that it is still your little secret until you are ready for the big reveal!

I really like this dress. It flatters you.

And some wedding dresses run small but not all. I was a six too and I am way shorter than you..guess it was the boobies

First of all- VERY pretty dress!!!

FH and I worked together while dating for over 3 years. It was a tough time. People suspected that we were together, but couldn't confirm. After all that time, he switched jobs and then I switched careers, so it didn't matter anymore. I totally sympathize with your situation! I don't know what I would do if I were in that situation now.

great dress..by the way..fh and i have been working together all 4 years we've been together..it wasn't until last year that we finally started to show that we were together..he hated it but i couldn't deal with the nosieness either..anyway it was fun to keep it under raps but difficult to deal with when others asked questions.

Thanks everyone. I really love the Bonny dress even more now that I know it will not look awful on me. LOL LOL The Bonny dress has lavender in it (I supposed some kind of beading or something) and I just LOVE purple so will likely pick that one.

I still plan to at least try on a few more dresses just for the sake of my bridesmaids. LOL

As for FI and I at work, we decided last night to continue to lie and avoid the questions until people find out on their own - even after the ring. About 10 people at work know for sure, one being the girlfriend of FI's nephew who hates me. I'm sure she'll spill about the engagement if she hasn't already told people we are dating.

I suspect the girlfriend has already spilled though since I get a lot of questions about when I'm getting married. I always lie and say I'm never getting married when asked. LOL

Katrina, Katrina, Katrina....lol. Never mind the B!tch! She doesn't have anything on you! If I were you I'd speak to her as if you pitty her. That would burn her right out! I would pay money to see her face when she finds out you're engaged! If your sec. gets a pic you HAVE to post it! Otherwise just ignore her, think about how funny it is instead of letting her get you all worked up, because that's what she wants to do!

I LOVE the Bonny dress, did you try anywhere in Brooklyn, I think a few places in Brooklyn have Bonny.

I tried one place in Brooklyn, Jay Mills. They supposedly had the dress but when I arrived it was not there. It's only like 10 minutes from my apartment but it was a waste of my time.

A bride on this site told me about the 'Borrow A Bonny program' but Jay Mills said they do not participate in that program - $50 to get a sample of the dress. They said if I find the dress to try I can order it from them and they will beat the price. LOL LOL As if I'd ever do that now that they were not agreeable to even let me order the sample to try.

Even if they were cheaper, I would not buy from them.

I hope my secretary is able to get a pic. I will even give her my digital camera for the week so she can catch that chick's face. I'm sure it will be priceless.

I will totally post it if she's able to catch a pic of her. LOL

She's at it again .............and I nearly died

That annoying winch of a secretary that follows FI around the office was at it again today. This time his crew was working on the third floor and she went down there like 30 times today. LOL She works on my floor - 11.

FI said he finally asked her if she had any work to do. His crew, all men, think she just came down to make sure they all saw her fishnet hose and hooker outfit of the day. LOL LOL

I was laughing so hard when FI told me the story that I nearly choked. She was walking by my office at the time and to keep myself from laughing in her face I took a drink of my poland spring and almost choked. LOL I coughed for about 5 mminutes but obviously survived. LOL
