Mine is clueless and this is a good way to get some ideas to share with him... I keep making him CDs of potential songs...

I think FH and FMIL have decided on 'You've Got a Friend' by James Taylor. Though it was between that and 'Have I Told You Lately' by Rod Stewart

Although i am not a country music fan, there is a beautiful song called 'Godspeed' by the Dixie Chicks...i played it for my FH and he loved it as well...its about a mom singing a lullabye type song to her new baby boy...very pretty :)

FH and his mom are using 'In my life' by the beatles (its also a pretty short song if they are hesitant to dance for too long)

There is a new song called 'A Song for My Son' that is pretty popular, which my FMIL and FH are probably going to use. Also, here is a link from our trusty LI Weddings - with a list of a ton of popular songs. Good luck!
