1st hair trial....long..sorry///

And it was HORRIBLE!!!
I went to a spa/hair salon in Babylon...on a reccommendation..
My App't was for 9am with a lady named Antoinette(supposedly she does all trial and brides hair)

I get a call at 8:30am asking if I could come in right now cause Antoinette is sick and wants to go to the hospital....
so me,my 2 daughters,mom and sister head there to find out that Antoinette just left and some girl named Anna was going to do my hair...
So I show her the pic of what I want and she starts doing the hair...the whole time complaining that not only does she have her clients today, she has to take Antoinettes clients cause she is sick...
SOOOO
she does my hair just like the pic....it looks good...she asks me'did you bring a camera to take pictures?' i said yeah...she says...'ok hold on...let me fix it up a bit...i dont really like how this looks'

She starts pulling out some of the hair that was in the curls....and explaining to me that she thinks spiral curls would look better and starts trying to do spiral curls....then the girl who answers phones comes up to her, tells her that her next appt is here...so Anna then tells me that I'll 'have to visualize what she is talking about cause she doesnt have time to fix it...and it'll look alot 'cleaner' on the actual day of my wedding'...then she tells me that I really shouldnt take any pics now..cause 'it looks wrecked in the back'

I was mortified...my 1st hair trial...and and it was a horrible experience....I called and complained and they said that they couldnt do anything for me(like a free 2nd hair trial) I feel that
They should of just rescheduled my appt for when Antoinette was feeling better...instead of squeezing me in...and making me look and feel like I was a burden...agreed?
It looked like I slept in my hair and it was falling out and funky looking...

I'm at a loss of words...I guess I just needed to vent cause I'm still upset about it all

There are plenty of other places to get your hair done. Take it as a warning..... Find anther place..

on the bright side - at least you found this out before your actual wedding!!

There are tons of other places and people to do hair.

I recommend Taralei. She did my hair for my wedding it was incredible.

so sorry that had to happen. But know you can let everyone else know and once they realize they are loosing business, then perhaps they will change thier business practices.

Would you mind FMing the name of the salon to me? I think I know which one you're talking about and I was going to go for a trial there (I live in W. Bab so it was out of convenience!) Thanks!

Yes find another place, and you will, dont worry! that's terrible what happened! Even if they gave you a free 2nd trial, would you really want to go back there? What if that was the day of your wedding? Ugh. I would look elsewhere!

you have to go somewhere else... there are so many gret hair vendors on this site... make some trial appts with them...

You are so right! I would just forget about this place all together. You deserve to be catered to, I'm sure you're paying enough! I could give you the name and number of the woman I use. She's amazing! Can you post a pic of what you wanted? She's in Patchogue on Main Street, is that ok?
