What was your best or favorite Halloween costume when you were a kid?

One year I was Pinky Tuscadero (my aunt made the costume for me) ... I was so hot!!!

For some reason, that's the only one that stands out in my mind.

when I was 3 I was Raggedy Ann-

my parents took the dress off of my 3 foot high Raggedy Ann doll-
Died a mop red and stuckit on my head and put false eye lashes on me

I was abox of Cheerios in the 5th Grade. ( Dad's idea I think!)

I won honerable mention in the elementary school halloween party costume contest.

Clown.

I like dressing up as a clown for some reason I am one again this year. I guess it is all the make up I get to wear. This way people will not recognize me. I normally dont wear make up so its my little disguise

Dear God, do you remember those plastic costumes we had as a kid? It was like wearing a pool liner w/those masks that made your face sweat and got all gross inside from the condensation? I remember when I would first start seeing them line the shelves in the stores, I would go bananas!! My favorite? Wonder Woman!!

wonderwoman - had the gold bracelets and all :)

followed in a close second by my laura ingalls little house on the prairie costume. My best friend and I fought over who was going to be 'pretty' mary ingalls and who was going to be 'half pint' :)

I was a ladybug & my best friend was a bumble bee...but this was 3 years ago, so I was 23 & she was 24, not exactly kids

well this shouldn't surprise anyone, since I spend my LIFE on this website

I was a BRIDE when I was 6 years old. From the time I was a little girl I was obsessed with weddings and being a bride, because my uncle had just married my aunt and I was their flower girl, and I thought being a bride was the cooooooooooolest thing in the world

So my bestest friend Gerald and I decided we wanted to 'get married' and he was my groom (hey, what can I say? I started young ) My grandmother made me my gown and it was simply beeeeeeeeeeeutiful . I had a long train, a poufy veil, and lots of makeup of course (no tiara, this was the 70s and tiaras weren't the 'rage' back then) Gerald wore a fashionable tuxedo and he made a dashing

My Mom and Gerald's mom tried talking us out of it, since they both thought it was extreeeeeemly weird that two 6 year olds would want to be a & 'Can't you just go as a pirate and a witch' they'd ask? SOOO not cool thought Gerald and I

It isn't any wonder that she and Gerald's mom were always convinced that the two of us would wind up together .... soooo not true, Gerald was MY FRIEND, boys were ICKY (though in retrospect, Gerald was quite the cutie, and from what I recall he aged rather well)

So who was the weird one, eh?

One year in HS (I took the subway from Jackson Heights to the lower east side) I was Adam Ant and another year I was a baby and wore feetie pajamas.

I was strawberry shortcake & rageddy ann froma plastic box i think! then I moved on to havign my dad make me stuff. A lady bug, a clown, the cheerios box.
