Memorial Day Weekend Weddings!

Hey all,

When are you sending out your Save the Dates? I was thinking of sending them out 9 months in advance. Is that ok?

For my May 05 wedding, I hope to get the invites out by the end of November. So, thats around 6 months in advance. I think as long as its before the year starts (the year of the wedding) its fine.

What about for a Memorial Weekend (Holiday wedding)...do I have to send them out a year in advance?

its recommended that for any holiday STDs are sent a year in advance, but if you don't have many OOT guests i think 9 mos would be OK.

We sent our Save the Dates in October for a May 2005 wedding, because all of our guests will be traveling to our wedding location in the North Fork of Long Island, and we wanted to give them plenty of notice. If you don't have a lot of OOT guests, sending them around 6 months in advance would probably be okay.

My wedding is May 29th, 2006 (memorial day) i think i am sending them out to OOT's in March/April of 05 and to people in-town May 05.
