Honeymoon review (Hawaii!!) with pics!!

We came back from our HM to Hawaii last night. It was wonderful. We had such a good time. Here is our review.

Princess Cruises-We sailed on the Island Princess to Hawaii from Oct 21-Nov. 5. We went to the islands of: Big Island, Oahu, Kauai and Maui. The boat was beautiful! The food was great! We enjoyed the entertainment! The only thing we found tough about the ship was that many of the passengers were much older than us. We did have a good time and sat with a great group for dinner. Our only problem was with disembarkment from the boat. It was very disorganized and they lost our luggage tags in the process.

Review of the Islands:

Kona on Big Island-very touristy, not much to do. We had a glassbottom boat tour which was good but it was short and the pictures we took of it did not come out. We did a cab tour of Kona which was fine but not too exciting.
Grade:B-

Hilo on Big Island-We went to the Volcano National Park. We loved the contrast between the lust tropical plants of Hilo and the desolate land of the Volcano (it looked like we were on Mars).
Grade:A-

Oahu (Polynesian Cultural Center)-We loved the Polynesian Cultural Center (it was an Epcot for the Polynesian Islands w/o the rides). We learned a lot and enjoyed the shows and the demonstrations. We also went to a luau there that was good (great entertainment and food). The show we saw at the center was great too!
Grade:A+

Kauai-Helicopter ride and beach-
We took a helicopter ride around the island of Kauai. It was beautiful and we got many great shots of the island. We enjoyed it but expected much more for what we payed for the ride. The beach was called Kalapaki and it was pretty. There is not too much sand due to erosion so we had to lie on the grass.
Grade: A-

Maui-Haleakala Crater and lunch at Maui Tropical Plantation-The ride up to the crater was amazing and we got to see many types of vegetation across several different climate zones. The crater was amazing and the view was breathtaking. Lunch was yummy and the plantation was beautiful.
Grade: A-

Robynne, I saw your post mentioning that you go to Richie and Glen. When did your sister get married? Congrats to her!!

Sorry I got this so late lol My sister got married August 28th (this past summer)...Richie and Glenn and all the girls did a wonderful job on all of us...and they really helped to destress the day..theyre so funny! I didnt pick a spot for my honeymoon yet...still thinking of ideas...got any????

They are so funny! I always crack up at Richie when I go in for my haircut. I thought Hawaii was amazing. It is a popular HM location but I feel it is this way because it is so scenic and laid back and very romantic.
