HELP!!!Indoor Photo Locations

I am getting married this Saturday and it's supposed to be really cruddy. My wedding is on the south shore near Sayville. Reception is in MIller PLace. Does anyone know of a nice place that doesn't charge over $100 to take pictures indoors?

Also, I am a bit upset about the rain. Does anyone have any advice on how to stay dry, and happy?

My wedding was at Dowling College and the pictures are all beautiful (some were inside). The ecology center in Holtsville is also nice.

Me too. I heard the weather this morning. I am trying not to think about it. Well Old Westbury Gardens has an indoor facility but they are pricey (I paid just for peace of mind) EAB plaza but that is far for you, The Bayard Cutting Arboretum doesnt have indoor faciltiy. What about Dowling College or LaSalle. I went to a company party at LaSalle and it was beautiful. The big mansion had fireplaces and beautiful antiques. It is a thought. I am going to pray for good weather and keep my eyes on the weather channel.

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't think of LaSalle. Dowling makes you jump through hoops but also, they can't take us until 5:30 and it's too late for our schedule. I'll try LaSalle.

I'll think of you and hope you are having a wonderful day! Most times than not brides say it rained that morning or just until the church then the skies parted and it was great. I am going to assume that's how it'll be for us! My fingers will be crossed.

Who is cutting your hair? Is it Bella, the woman who does the updo's? I only ask because she did cut my hair once and I didn't care for it. It wasn' that it was a bad haircut but it was way too short in the layering. I don't say that to scare you but just be specific on how much you want cut off (I guess you have to do that with all hairstylists to an extent.)

Did you like what the other place did with your hair?? What about the make up?

Me too. I heard rain Friday into Saturday. Lets hope it rains all day Friday and Saturday it doesnt. I heard pictures come out better if it isnt sunny (no one needs to squint and less shadows.

I read somewhere that if the weather is that crummy, try dressing at the church/hall. This way the dress won't get wet, etc. I'm sure everything will be alright!!

I heard only partly cloudy for Saturday..and the pictures do come out better with a partly cloudy sky than a totally blue sky(fiance is a photographer, although not a wedding photographer).At any rate...no matter what it does outside remember that you will still be married at the end of the day and that is what really matters..Good luck to all and I will hope for lovely weather for you!!!

I was driving by the Imperial Manor yesterday and they were having a bridal showcase so I stopped. They had this J.A.M. Limos there and they were great people--very nice to talk to.
