NWR: Had a horrible day!

Go figure.. off from work and I couldn't even enjoy it!

Anyway, I was at Old Navy and was talking to a friend I bumped into... as I was talking I looked into my purse just to make sure I had the right credit card with me and I put my wallet back in my purse and zipped it.

I went right on line and there were these 2 annoying and loud women behind me, complaining that the security officer was watching them b/c of the color of their skin. I felt her brush up against me and I moved forward. Then, she told her friend to go to the car, and two mintues later, she got off line, left her clothes on the side and left the store.

I looked down and realized that my pocketbook was open and my wallet was gone!

I paniced and went right of the store to cancel all of my cards! My finace, and NYPD cop, told me to go back in and have them call the police.

When I spoke to security, he told me that he knows exactly who it was, bc apparently, they are regulars there and he was watching them... apparently not good enough!

It turned out they found my wallet, under the pile of clothes the woman layed down when she left. All of the cash was missing but thank god everthing else was there!

I was sooo mad, I don' t think I have ever been so upset!

Just had to get that out! tHANKS!

What a horrible thing to have happen! Hope tomorrow is a better day! Are all your cards cancelled now? What a pain! At least you got your license, etc back!!!!

I can't believe that. That is why I buy purses that fit right under my armpit and I always keep it closer to the front than in the back. I try to always have my hand on the strap just in case but when your hands are full it's hard.

That makes me mad also, sorry you had to go threw it.

That sucks! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. If the store knows these women are trouble, than why are they even allowed in?

Stupid B!tches! I had a terrible day too- but not that bad- at least they didn't get your cards or id!

that really sucks - i had soemone steal my wallet at a movie theatre while i watching the movie - just reached between the rows and opened by bag

They only took the cash and actually turned it the wallet saying they found it

It is really annoying

I wouldn't cancel your cards unless they were missing - they wanted what was easy -cash - they didn't have time to copy the numbers since they did not leave the store with the wallet

I hope you feel better- i know there is a sense of violation when ever anything is stolen. and you feeel like you cannot trust people - But you will be fine

it struck me that the women that stole your wallet were mad that security was watching them b/c they looked suspicious - and yet, they did exactly what security expected them too. sorry you had to go through that.

if any of you travel to manhattan and think a back pack is better it wasnt for me =(
someone cut the back part while i was on the train, i didnt even feel anything, god i was so embarassed, ever since then i pay closeeeeeeee attention and dont use a backpack!
