My ceremony starts at 3 and I have been wondering the same thing. I haven't decided where I am getting ready yet - either in Queens or near the church/reception.... 11am in Queens, 12pm on LI? I am clueless.

Re: Girls who's ceremony started/starts at 3-3:30
i left for photos around that time...we (me, 3 bms, one flowergirl and one mother) started gettting ready at about 10 and we were late and rushing. So I would start as early as you can..better to have too much time than too little.

My wedding is still 1 1/2 yrs away and I am feeling faint at getting up at that hour.
I know, I know, I don't HAVE to get up and such at those times, but the thought of it...

I think my photographer is coming at 2. I live very, very close to the church and my ceremony is starting at 3. I think they told us what time he was coming though. We just told them the time the ceremony got started!

Ha ha I know it IS early!! But ...I think that's the way it's got to be on that day! I get up for work at 6:30 anyway so at least I get to sleep 'in' 'til 7:30!

Re: Girls who's ceremony started/starts at 3-3:30
My Ceremony started at 3:30.I had a hair appointment at my salon at 9:00 in Hampton Bays.
Drove to the Hampton Inn Brookhaven, where I got ready.
My photographer came at 1:00, I was a little late for him.
Had my pictures taken there seperately, so did my husband, seperately.
Then off to Riverhead to church
My reception was at 7:00-CH.

Re: Girls who's ceremony started/starts at 3-3:30
My ceremony is at 3:30 and my hair appointment is at 9:00 am (both me and my mother are getting our hair done). I told the hairstylist that I need to be out of there by 11:00. My makeup artist is coming at 11:00ish and she should be done by 11:30-11:45. This will give me time to get dressed, maybe eat something, and relax (hopefully) before the photographer comes. Then, the photographer is coming to my house at 12:45. So, I think 9:00 am is a good time to start getting ready.

Re: Girls who's ceremony started/starts at 3-3:30
No, I'm not requiring my BM's to get their hair done. I felt funny asking, and since I don't have the money to pay for all of the to get their hair done, I didn't want to tell them they had to get it done. But, luckly, they are all getting their hair done!
