Family related question

Does anyone's SO act like your family doesn't matter? Now that we are right down the road from DH's family, he is starting to act like my family no longer exists. Just wonderin if anyone else is like this.

Well, I think it is natural to have more of an allegiance to your own family. I like visiting my mom, but I know DH wouldn't mind if we never did...For him it is like pulling teeth...

okay, I used to live upstairs from his grandmother she past away last xmas and now MIl and SIl live around the corner his aunt / uncle lives a few blocks another uncle too lives, in the neighborhood. My family lives 20 min away.
My family always says coming to me is out of the way so I kinda of give up on family or at least I do not depend on them, as much as I would if they live around the corner.
