Vera Wang sample sale on 12/4/04 at 8 a.m.

Anyone going?

My friend (the one who won the sandals honeymoon at the most recent marriott marquis bridal expo) is getting married on 9/17/05 and wants to go check out the Vera Wang dresses.

Anyone been to a Vera Wang sample sale before? If so, how is it? Do we need to get there at 6 a.m.?

I'm a little bummed that I won't be going. My mom and I planned on going for years, but when I got engaged last February, the sample sale had just taken place and I knew I wouldn't want to wait for the next one so my mom and I went out and got my dress.

Although I love my dress, I'd always wanted a Vera Wang! Happy shopping!

How often do they have these? and where? I feel like I should go b/c my mom is a big Vera Wang fan (and when mom's paying, mom's taste is a definite consideration). But, I still have 18 months to go and a lot of work to do this weekend. Are these annual?

It's an annual sale, but yes, you should be there VERY early. I went last yar with my mom and I think we got there about 7:30 and still waitd about 3.5-4 hours to get in. I posted this on another thread, but I will post it again. DO NOT buy a dress simply because it's Vera Wang. Buy a dress only if you absolutely love it. If you walk away with nothing, that's ok.

Ugh! 3 - 4 hours just to get in is not worth it. I will let my friend know. I'm not even sure which dress she is looking for in particular or if it's just the 'Vera Wang' thing. I suspect the dresses will still be like $2K though and I do not believe she is not willing to pay that much.

there are girls that camp out from like, 3am to be first on line. It's insane.

I hear it's a nightmare. One of my friends got there at 6am last year and didn't get in until 1pm!! They have a VIP list that gets to go in first. I hear the dresses are also in horrible condition...It's just hear say, but I thought I'd pass it on. Good Luck to whoever is going!!
