Brunch places or a nice place to have a shower and not break the bank?

After 3 years of trying my only sister is finally pregnant. I am going to be an aunt. My sister went thru IVF , and she deserves a nice shower. Even though it is early in her pregnancy we are talking about when and where to give her the shower. , my DH and I want to give her a baby shower. We are just throwing places around right now..... What places would you recommend that are reasonable in Nassau or Suffolk county, but not too far out either way. I started to come up with 56th Fighter group, Kwong Ming. have Thanks in advance for the reccomendations!

My bridal shower was at Anna Maria's in Kings Park. It's a small Italian restaurant, good food, nice staff. Maybe a little farther out than you want to go though. I think they charge like 35 pp.

ETA: Congratulations to you and your sis!

Cafe Grappa in east Meadow does a nice brunch or The Bonwitt Inn in Hauppauge. Sorry I don't have any prices for you :(

There is a nice place in Smithtown just north of 25 on Rt 111 or that other street where it forks off.

No idea what the name is, took my aunt & unce there. There was a shower going on. They had a big breakfast buffet.

ETA: Its not Maureen's Kitchen or whatever that is.

I think you mean Garden Grill? Also there is Venezia on Rte. 25...they have a website and I think it's $19.95 pp with Champagne punch included and you get a private room upstairs. Check it out!

Re: Brunch places or a nice place to have a shower and not break the bank?

SINGLETONS on Hempstead Trnpk & 107. They have a really nice room downstairs that holds 30 - 50 ppl is perfect for a baby shower, they also have a bigger room for larger parties.

I'm having my baby shower at Singletons (obviously it's not a surprise) on January 9th from 1-5pm. Were having a brunch for 35 ppl. My MIL is paying for it, but I think it was around $1200 (but dont quote me). That includes pretty much anything you can think of w/ food, hot & cold. It also includes bloody mary's & mamosas, wine, soda, etc...
