Anyone without pierced ears?

My ears became very infected years ago and I can no longer wear earrings. I even tried having new holes pierced which was a nightmare. Any clip on earrings that I wear start to hurt after an hour or so and when I remove them, my lobes are bright red. And if I use a very lightweight pair, they tend to fall off. Anyone else have this problem or can anyone suggest what I can wear on my ears for my wedding day?

Re: Anyone without pierced ears?

I once knew a girl who wore earrings that were like stickers for the prom because her ears were so infected if she put anything in them. I don't have pierced ears, because my ears swell up when wear earrings and then once I take the pair out the holes start to close in a day. Not sure what I'm gonna do, if anything....The jewelry isn't all that important to me. If you have any luck finding something FM me so I can keep it in mind?

I just got mine pierced....and I'm 24! I always wore clips to proms and weddings, etc. Now I want some diamonds for my own wedding!

Re: Anyone without pierced ears?

I only had my ears pierced when I was 18. Before then, I used this thing that I got through Harriet Carter I believe. They turn all piereced earrings into clip-ons. It was pretty cool. You put the post through the bottom part and the top just clips on. I can't find a pic of it right now, but i've seen it recently. Good Luck!! You could always just wear a really sparkly necklace that you wouldn't have to wear earrings with, or wear your hair half down.

Re: Anyone without pierced ears?

Why don't you make the jewelry piece of focus your necklace? When you have the focus drawn to your neck, you don't even need to wear earrings.

I agree! i'm going to wear earrings (just simple diamond studs) but no necklace.... but i was considering doing the opposite (necklance no earings)... i like when the focus is just drawn to one area... simple elegance, baby

also, have you considered earmuffs? i hear they are makinig a come back

Re: Anyone without pierced ears?

I'm doing it the opposite way... I'm going for the big sparkly earrings, and no necklace. I'm much more of an earring person, and also, the top part of my dress has a lot of sparkle to it, so I don't want to take away from the dress.

However, I am considering a wool scarf in place of the necklace.

Re: Anyone without pierced ears?

They make earrings that are made with magnets for non-pierced ears. Any of the higher end department stores should carry them. They look and feel like pierced without the piercing.
