X-post...E-Party was yesterday!! With PICS!!!

Wow....so this whole marriage thing just hit us like a ton of bricks. Yesterday certainly gave us a taste of what the wedding is going to be like!!! We had the party up here in Rockland County. It was hosted by FH's parents. The hall we had it in was marvelous, the food was great (from what I've been told) and we had a wonderful time. We walked in right on time
(2:00 pm) only to find that half the people were already there!! My stomach turned into an instant knot.....I thought 'Holy crap--all these people are here for US!!'

So, I decided I HATE HATE HATE being the center of attention....it's so nerve-racking trying to get to each table to see people and 'mingle'.......but I now know what it's going to be like on our wedding day. We had just over 110 people at the E-Party.....and I still didn't get a chance to eat a thing. SO, I learned my lesson and WILL MAKE TIME to eat at our reception.

The gift table was over-flowing.....our house is now filled to capacity with an abundance of gifts from everybody. We received our entire set of china, except for the serving stuff, and just about everything else we had registered for. We opened the gifts back at our house...invited about 40 people back (it was a bit tight inside, but we managed). Had a few drinks, ordered pizza and wings, and started unwrapping. A great time was had by all!! Here are a few pics from FFIL's website....

I think EVERYBODY should have an E-Party----it was SO GREAT to have our families meet and get to know each other!! Plus, our bridal party got to know one another and it seems like we're going to have a great group for the wedding.....So excited!!!

Enjoy the pics....it's just a bunch of random people for the most part....but there are a few of FH and I (they spelled my name wrong on the cake!! oops!) Oh, well.....

Congratulations! It looks like you had an AWESOME TIME!

Where did you have your party?
That's so cool that you got a lot of gifts...how thoughtful of everyone! You're off to a great start ;)

My E-party is next week and I have the same butterflies you have...especially since I am independently friendly w/ different people...no 'groups of friends' really...

so TOO many introductions! The bridal party really doesn't know each other....should be interesting but fun!!

Our party was at a place called Casa Mia Manor House....it's here in Rockland County. The butterflies went away after two or three cocktails...but that first entrance took my breath away (literally). A good time was truly had by all.

Have a wonderful time at your E-Party and just remember---ENJOY the food!!!! I'm so upset that I missed it, but, in the end it was worth it.
