what colors should the MOB and MOG dresses be?

for example if I chose Victorian Lilac or a wine color for the BM what color would the mothers wear?

I chose a complementing color- like, my invites were celedon, ivory and choco brown-- I am wearing ivory, BMs are in sage.. so I told them variation of brown- plus, they both wanted a dark color.. Really- it just helped them to narrow their search-- my mom's dress is now chestnut and black and FMIL is like mauve with brown..

Maybe for you- they can be in a deeper shade of purple or wine.

Personally- I am not an advocate of the whole idea of the mothers 'matching' or 'coordinating' or whatever.......I think they should wear whatever they are most comfortable in........JMO

I agree. I am telling my Mom to wear whatever color she wants. We don't have a MOG.

I think the moms should wear any color they want!! My bm dresses are burgandy. My mom is wearing English tea rose ( soft pink) and my fmil is in charcol gray.

I have to agree with this. I would never ask either mother to wear a specific color. I'd rather they be completely happy and comfortable with what they're wearing.

Im having a hard enough time picking colors for MOH and BM dresses that the last thing I need to worry about it what color the MOB and MOG are going to wear. I am letting them pick out whatever they want
