cavity.I am so sad
I have to have it bonded...does it hurt?

Got my bonding done today!
It really wasn't that bad. They first numbed my gums with some sort of swab....then shots of novicane and then the drilling and bonding. The numbing was wierd but no real pain...thanks for the support

They'll numb you so it isn't bad! The noise is the worst part I think, and being numb for hours after!

it doens't hurt at all, and if the cavity is small the drill they use is so tiny you don't even feel any vibrations. it'll be over in under 15 minutes. I just had to have one the other day

I don't mean to scare you at all, but don't want you to be disillusioned....If you are getting a shot of novacaine(sp?) that may hurt. Sometimes that hurts more than the cavity (drilling), depending on where they have to do the shot.Also, some people are more sensitive to the drilling, so for a minute it may be uncomfortable, but if you keep still it is over in a jiff. Then you just have the uncomfortable numb feeling for a few hours.
I'm sure it won't be bad.

The shot hurrts more than the drilling. Take an advil an hour before you go and ask them to numb the spot where they are giving you the shot. It helps alot. It's over quickly!

The shot is so quick...that didn't even really bother me, what annoyed me was the numb feeling I had for hours.It's not so bad.

It's actually a small cavity...the dentist said its a piece of cake...but its still a big deal to me!Thanks for all the honest feedback.
I much rather prefer going in there knowing what to expect!
