feedback on my favors, votive placecards and thank yous please

thanks for all of your feedback on the rehearsal dinner invites - now im looking for some for what my other projects were this weekend..

i'll show a pic of my invites - and then i am coordinating everything else with them (love the pinstripes and the black and white)

here are my votive placecards
what i am going to do for my thank you

and my favorite!!!! my favor - we are going to give bamboo plants as our favors - we got the little glass holders at walmart - the ribbons on ebay - and the bamboo and river rocks in chinatown(we have to go back a couple of weeks before the wedding and buy the rest but we have a great price for them set with a vendor)

then i made the tags - the front say our names and date and the back will say thank you for sharing our special day with us - or something with 'love grows' but i cant come up with the perfect thing yet...

i figured that after the wedding people can remove the ribbon and tag and have a nice neutral plant

so i would love any suggestions that people have about what theback of the tag should say and if i should change anythign else.....

I like everything. That is a favor I'd keep too. I typically only keep the CD's and I kept a potpourri favor (still in my car).

Great job!! They came out awesome!

we found the bamboo in chinatown - there is a whole block that like every store had it for a diff price (i have to check with FH to tell you exactly where though) - the best price we were able to get was about 30 cents a stem - but we are gonna y baout 300 stems since each plant will have three pieces and i will need about a hundred favors

Great Idea !
Everything looks really wonderful. You are very crafty. I'd change only one thing in everything that you did...I'd not put the ribbon bow around the votives..I think it takes away from the printing of the names....but that's just me.

Ditto!!! I love everything but the ribbon on the votive candles. They are so beautiful they don't need it. I love the bamboo idea!!! I got one of those for a housewarming present and I love it. They are also impossible to kill!

i am a graphic designer for a living - but work at an advertising agency for clients - and never get a chance to 'play' like this.

so my wedding was a perfect opportunity and cant wait until we get close enough to the wedding to make all of this stuff and see how it looks all pulled together.

i would love to be able to do some wedding designs and stuff on the side - but am not sure how i would break into it or if it would be worth it financially.
