looking at reception halls
Hi ladies! FH and I are the first in our circle to get married so we are going to need a lot of help in the next year :)I have two questions for you all:
1. Did you make appointments to see reception halls, or did you walk in? We are trying to organize ourselves by area as we begin looking. How long did it take at each place to get a feel for it? Would we be able to see more than one in a day?
2. What time would a Friday night ceremony begin?
TIA!
Sarah :)

Re: looking at reception halls
Congrats!!You definitely need an appointment. I would say that each one takes about an hour. It depends on how many questions you ask and if you like the place. If I didn't like a place and I knew it definitley wasn't 'the one,' I was in and out.
I think the most I did was 4 in one day. Depends on if they are located near each other and the travel time.
Friday night ceremonies vary - I've been to ones at 2pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm....Depends on the hall and/or place of worship.
Good Luck!!

Re: looking at reception halls
Okay well you are better off making appointments to see the halls that way they can make more time for you and you see the right person. You might be able to get 2 or 3 done depending on your schedule.Mine is on a friday and the ceremony starts at 7:00 and the reception ends at 12:30

Re: looking at reception halls
We spent one whole night calling places and making a list of prices and other infothen we went online and looked at the places and crossed off tose that were too far, too much $$, we didnt like etc
Then we started making appointments and we actually did so much research online that we only went to 3 halls before we booked.
