Re: Where to get Mother-of-Bride dress???

First off, congrats on almost being a wife. My mom got hers at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. They have a nice selection and they were soooo helpful. So far no concerns. Good Luck

Does it have to be from a bridal shop? Try Saks, Bloomies, Lord and Taylor...

Re: Where to get Mother-of-Bride dress???

I can recommend a place NOT to go to. The Wedding Center in commack. a lady who works there is a friend of the family's. one day myself and my MOH went there to check it out. once this lady knew who I was a niece to, she told all the ladies around her my misfortune from the last 2 years in my family. We had a lot of bad luck and she told all who would listen. I was so upset that she not only spoke to strangers about my family problems, but ruined what was to be a start of a fun journey to my wedding. i would never go back there again.

u don't have to get your moms dress at a bridal store. If it's beautiful, and looks nice on her, buy it.

Re: Where to get Mother-of-Bride dress???

im not sure where you live but my mom and i just went and ordered her dress at Totally You on Merrick Road in Bellmore

The women that worked there are great - and the bets thing was that my mom was able to try on dresses in her size rather than everyone trying on the same sized dress.

there were even dresses that she could have taken home that day - and the prices were dso good - we saw dresses that were almost 300 dollars more at sugarplum for the same dress

Dorothy Walsh in Northport Village is a great place too! MIL got her dress there and they were so awesome to her. They have a great selection and really cater to the individual.
