Which Bridal Salon do you recommend and why...
I love Demetrios Gowns and Im thinking that's what Im going to look for. The styles I like are at the following bridal salons and being that I don't want to be aggravated by nasty sales people or shotty alterations Im coming to you ladies. Can you help me? I need to know who seems to be most reasonable as far as price, good and bad reviews please. Especially who treated you bad once they had your deposit.Burtons Bridals--Melville
Princess Bridals--Farmingdale
Adriennes--Islip
Macys Bridal--Lake Grove and
Manhasset
Paradise Bridals--Patchogue
Bridal Suite--Patchogue
Thanks Soooo Much.

I'm using Burtons, its kind of no frills, but the prices were great, the girls there are honest, very laid back and they will give you their honest opinion!Since I've placed my orders, i've called a zillion times, but they've been very nice and tease me on my craziness.

Macy's of Manhassette, They are so sweet and down to earth. They really make you feel like a princess. And if you go there ask for Fay. I give her an A++++++++.

I got my gown and my BM gowns at RK Bridal. I would HIGHLY recommend them. All of the gowns came in way earlier than they said they would and everyone is really helpful. Plus, they usually have a much better price, even without the no frills program, on gowns and I know they carry Demetrios.

I've had a really great experience with the Bridal Suite in Patchogue so far. They even let you take pictures before you've purchased the gown. I am going for my first fitting on Saturday, so hopefully I won't have any problems with the seamstress. Also, remember that just because someone might have had a bad (or good even)experience somewhere doesn't mean you will. Every place has it good and bad reviews. Good luck with your search!

Re: Which Bridal Salon do you recommend and why...
When I lived in Bklyn I thought nothing of driving into the city but now Im so lazy since I moved to Long Island. Not to mention since my kids and younger cousin are the BP I dont want to drag them into the city. I know alot of girls used the salons I posted but I just don't want to be hasseled when I go in so I figure I'd go with the most popular for being nice and helpful not to mention in expensive.

I totally agree but for my wedding I really don't want to take the chance. Rather go with a place that has more good than bad ya know.

Re: Which Bridal Salon do you recommend and why...
and also Macy's of Manhaset, they actually let you go through the racks, they let you go whatever you want, i loved it, and the other places i went to, they didnt let me do crap, they were standing on top of me, like they had to babysit, Fay just stands back and lets you look and talk with your family and friends, then she comes in and talks to you. Loved that. The BM tried on a million dresses. I almost felt bad. We made a mess. But they really are great. I actually cried at one place, and it was my first time trying on, never forget it. The lady was picking the dresses for me. Then she yelled at me, because i wasnt sure what style i liked yet. Long story.

I actually liked Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I had just left macy's in manhasset where i walked out because they left me standing there for 40 minutes past my appointment while helping another bride who couldn't make up her mind. i stopped at BR as an afterthought, and the woman was amazing-found my dress in an hour. Also, jessica there pretty much picked out my bridesmaid dresses...she was awesome!

Of the ones you listed, I have been to three and I honestly wouldn't strongly recommend any of them. This is only based on MY experiences and I visited all of these more than ONCE.Princess Bridals - Farmingdale
-was not happy with their service
-rip out the tags and aren't always truthful about the designer if they tell you at all
Paradise Bridals - Service was so-so... the woman seemed to get tired of me since I didn't fall in love with any of the gowns SHE thought I should love but their selection was good. Of course, that could've just been my salesperson.
Bridal Suite of Patchogue -- I experienced excellent service on several occassion but then I found out that they play games with their prices and rip out the tags.

See now this is the info. Im looking for. I kinda feel after all this time I can trust your opinions and that none of you would steer me in the wrong direction. So far I think Im leaning toward Macys Manhasset and Burtons. Please keep sending your opinions though.

Yeah, their the pretty reasonable stores too. Unlike the other snooty stores mentioned where they pick your dresses out for you. lol

I also had a horrible experience here. The ladies were so rude, especially the owner. And not just to me, to my mom, sister and aunt who came along. They also seem to not have enough room for all of the dresses, everything is so crammed and disorganized. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
