Totally torn about bridal party

Okay, I'm ready to ask people to be in my party, but I think it might be too big....

I'm having a wedding of approx 215 people (inviting 270) and including us the wedding party would be 22 people:

1 MOH and best man
7 bridesmaids and groomsmen
2 Jr. bridesmaids and jr. groomsmen (is that what you call them)

I could eliminate 1 bridesmaid and one groomsmen, but does that really make a difference?

Do you think 22 people is too large or will be hard to photo?

Help, help, help!!!

that's a big bridal party but i don't thinks it too big...its however you want it! and i've seen more so i think you're fine!

I'm not a believer of any bridal parties being 'too big.' I think if they are all your friends and the people you want to be around then definitely go for it!

I have the same numbers as you- I think you are good. No worries.

From experience- make sure you ask people that you REALLY want.. I have someone that I can kick myself for asking.

It is big but it is your choice in how many people you want. I'm have alot together in my wedding party is 12 not includeing me and my fh. But it still see high for me to. But just think if want them in there just do it they can get everybody in the pics.

You may also want to think about the additional costs to you when having a large bridal party.

- added stress of finding BM dresses to accommodate everyone

When you look at it on paper it seems like alot (not that 22 people aren't alot)but when your together taking pics it doesn't come out to be too much. I'd do it if that's what you want.

Including me and FH We have 15...I wanted it smaller, but it didnt work out that way.

I had 23 people in my BP not including my husband and I. I don't think you should base your decision on numbers. Don't eliminate someone who means alot to you for the sake of pics etc. I think my BP looked beautiful.

were having 19-20 - do what makes you happy!! it sucks to eliminate important people in your life! more girls in the same dress is better! its more fun on the dance floor! you all look the same so i say go for it!! :)

I don't think it is too big at all-we are having 18-Just make sure that everyone you are having in your wedding party is someone you can't imagine not being a part-if you are able to cut so easily just rethink it before you ask everyone!

And something else you might want to consider (especially for BM) - they have to have a lot of communication with each other. this might be difficult if a lot of them don't know each other. I know this happened to me when I was a BM.
HOWEVER - this is your wedding, you should do what is right for you

I love big bridal parties! I think the pictures come out great!

Originally I was going to have 16 but I cut it down to 12 for the same reasons you've brought up but I think it's more important to have the people you want up there with you than to worry about the other issues. But keep in mind it does add more of a cost.

I have 26 in my wedding party. You do what is best for you. Everyone is very excited about being in the wedding.

I was in a BP in the summer with 23 people and her pics all seem kinda far away. Be sure to have the Photographer line you up in 3 levels and not just all across for all pics. Whoever you want in your party is your decision. I originally wanted only my 2 sisters, but FH has a lot of important people in his life that he wanted to include, so I now have 7 girls and 8 guys plus me and my FH....A PARADE as I call it, but we will have a great day sharing it with people we love!

so my party is 21 people and NO I dont think thats too many its totally up to you

It's really big, but if you want them all, go for it, pictures will be fine. FSIL had 21 and her pictures came out great.

My BP is HUGE. I'm having

1 MOH and 1 BM
9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen
1 Jr. Bridemaid
2 Jr. groomsmen
1 ring bearer
1 flower girl

That's 25. I do worry that it's too big but what does it really matter anyway? We're happy about including them all and they are happy to be included.
