Let's share....When did you realize your FI was THE ONE??

I was just wondering about everyone's experience.

I think I realized it after our 1st or 2nd date. He was so different than any guy that I had dated...WHICH WAS A GOOD THING!!

I actually told my brother's girlfriend (who is like a sister to me) very early on that this was the person I was going to marry...very cliche...but here we are!

I love my FI so much...he treats me so well and I can;t wait to marry him

on our first date. he made me laugh so hard at dinner the people around us thought we were the most obnoxious people ever.
also - when we went back to watch a movie (braveheart) i kind of placed myself so he would put his arm around me- and at that point i felt so comfortable and protected, i was like - this is it for me.

We met on Match.com (After not finding any worthy men at the bars). Right before we actually met, I had gone to a psychic for the first time, who basically described Justin to me. For laughs, I would always refer to him as my FH. Sure enough, 6 months later we were living together, and shortly after that we knew this was it.

I knew immediately. I was his boss at the time - and without even really knowing him, I just knew that he was my future . I wouldn't believe it if I didn't experience the feelings for myself - but it was crazy....not even a crazy attraction thing - just a feeling!

I know this sound cheese....but I knew the second I saw him smile.... He took my breath away and he still does.

Ever since we started dating, I guess, but I fought it for a long time. I was totally freaked out about marriage until this summer when we were in Costa Rica. I got food poisoning and was really sick for almost three days. I honestly thought I was going to die. He spent the entire time I was sick trying to make me feel better, taking care of me, and not doing what we went there for-- surfing-- even though the waves were amazing. After that I knew that his selflessness and generosity were exactly waht I wanted in a husband-- my fears were over!

I knew he was different right away. I just had this unexplainable feeling from the start. And then I knew it for sure a few months later when I was trying to fall asleep and starting crying just looking at a picture of him on my nightstand. I was just soooooo happy and felt so lucky. It was the first time I cried tears of happiness. Okay great post I have the goosebumps now. I can't wait for ....

He knew WAY before I did! We were 18 years old and best friends and he told me he was going to marry me one day! I laughed so hard! I asked him how he knew and he said "it's the way I feel when I'm able to make you laugh - I just know" After 3 years of friendship I finally realized what I had been missing and we decided to give it a chance. 4 years and an engagement ring later, he STILL keeps me laughing - and will for the rest of our lives!!

I knew within the 1st month of dating. We had been good friends before this and he told me 2 weeks into it that he was falling in love with me. I wasn't quite there yet but was definitely feeling something. A few weeks later we went to see Peter Gabriel in concert and during the music I couldn't stop looking at him or thinking about him when certain songs came on. I just had this feeling that everything I was looking for was right in front of me. He knew before we starting dating that we would get married. I just took a little longer. Boy am I glad that he was patient!

We went on a blind date....i saw him and thought he was just PERFECT...after our 2nd date...i knew my feelings had been right...and that was the begining...

I knew after about 3 months. We were sitting down to dinner. No where special. Sluggos in Plainview, I think its called The Main Event now. Anyway, I was looking into his eyes and I was thinking to myself "I'm gonna marry him".

He is the only guy that cared more about me than himself. He lets me be me and there is no pretending.

The day I met him, we were at a club just having a great conversation and he was discussing a past relationship and how it ended. I remember telling him, One day you will find the right one...You'll see!! Little did he know, it was me!

It took some time for us to really appreciate what we were and what we had. It was definitely a roller coaster ride since we occassionally tooks some breaks. Everytime we made it back together,somtimes by fate.
Finally he told me those 3 special words and I knew we were going to be together for the rest of our lives!

me and Mike are high school sweathearts. I knew he was the one when my mother passed away and he helped me take care of her before she died. My brothers chose him as one of the guys to carry her casket into the church. He bonded with my family and that made a big difference. (My mother always thought he was cute too, so that helped!!) J/K

FH & I were friends for 2 years prior to dating...We had such great conversations every night about everything imaginable & he use to tell me he could never find the right girl...I use to tell him that she was out there somewhere...About 2 weeks into our relationship, I started to realize there was just something different about him...He really understood me & really listened when I spoke to him about issues...I went on vacation 1 month after we started dating & he could not get the time off...When I was away, all I was doing was thinking of him & wishing he was there to share it with me...When I got home, I told him there was no way I could be without him...Christmas of 01, I gave him a promise ring so that he knew just how serious I was & how strong of a commitment we had!

I don't think I can pinpoint an exact moment. We met on eharmony. com and had been talking online for two months before we met in person. I knew there was something special about him before we even met, but I was nervous because of all the stuff you hear, and I had had some previous bad experiences. But the first time I saw him (we had never even seen pictures of each other before our first date) I had the "feeling" and after our first date I knew I was in love!! He still gives me butterflies...

i used to think i didn't know...but reading all of your responses, i totally know when and where and how it was.

tho it's private, it made me realize how awesome he is!

i think we ALL are lucky girls...and of course how lucky OUR guys are TOO!!!

(yes, i am on the computer at 2 am - don't drink two cups of coffee at 11:30 - don't do it!)

ps - funny, FH will be up in two hours to go to work and i'll probably be just getting to sleep - at least southpark is on!)

I knew when we started dating for the second time around. It just clicked we were always inseparable and the whole relationship was just easy we did not have to work at anything. After six months we moved in together and I just knew he was the one! I cant explain the feeling you just know!

...When we spent our first vacation together (about two months into our relationship)...I had gotten seriously sick the first morning and had to be taken to the emergency room...

when we got there I had to wait in the waiting room...and to make things even worse I couldn't walk from the pain, I had to be put into a wheelchair. I was shivering, in pain and crying...he was trying to calm me down......he wheeled me to the bathroom, helped me get from the wheelchair to the toliet bowl...lol held my hair back when I was getting sick, washed my face for me...almost got kicked out when the triage nurse was being overly RUDE because he asked how much longer until I could be admitted...

I was so embarrassed for having him see me like this...he just knealt right in front of me and told me that I was beautiful...I knew right then and there that I loved this man and that I would never let him go...

I know that he was the one when I saw him with his grandfather. About a week into our relationship his grandfather got sick and had to go to the ER. My FH made sure that his grandfather came to were I worked so I could take care of him. It impressed me so much that no matter what he never left his grandfather's side and was more then willing to help him with anything he needed. I though that it was the sweetest thing.
