Re: Workout music

www.seantyasmusic.com he has the best stuff to get you pumped~

You can get some of his songs right off his website, you can't be still listening to this!

He's great and yea he's my friend and I don't care about shamelessly plugging him.

He just moved to Germany to work with some of Europes hottest producers, he's got guts and he's going for his dream so I respect him tons!

His music is really great too if you like this style.

Re: Workout music

Good Chick Rock gets me going.

Pat Benatar - Running with the Shadows of the Night!

Cyndi Lauper - Drove all Night

Melissa Ethridge- Breathe

or just good Rock

Radiohead (Download either Pablo Honey or The Bends- both older albums with more of a Rock sentiment)

Nirvana

Pearl Jam

Ben Folds Five (Whatever and Ever Amen or Reinhold Meissner) or Ben Folds Live - he does an awesome cover of 'Tiny Dancer.'

Primus

The Smiths

Ween - Quebec

...I could go on forever, but I have no idea if Rock/Alternative is your taste...

Re: Workout music

It's funny you ask this - I was going to post the same thing!

I saw this CD set advertised and I was going to get some ideas from it. It was called 'Fired up'

Fired Up

Dance Mix NYC 6

Great CD, apparently they play this stuff in the clubs these days. My friend said they play track #5 in her gym ALL the time. The track listing I have on my CD is the same as on the review written about it, not what Amazon has listed. Love this CD though!

Ok those are some I have now compiled. I know some of these seem odd, but if the song evokes a memory for me (be it a place in my life, an emotion, a scene from a movie ect.) then that can drive me, some are just really catchy and I can sing along and just keep moving on the bike or eleptical machine, some have great beats that go with pumps on the free weights ect. Now I am going to check out the ones you all suggested.

Ooooh - that has 'Love Comes Again' by DJ Tiesto - love that song!
I listen to all techno when I workout. I can't really name any songs; I just buy a bunch of techno CDs and load the songs I like onto my MP3 player.

It's so silly, but I LOVE the Jock Jams MegaMix

I'm soooo over the songs that are in my MP3 player right now! but there are a few good ones...and by good ones I mean the only thing I can listen to in my last 3 minutes on the treadmill when I run full out...

Rock DJ - Robbie Williams
Jacka$$ theme
Pretty much anything by the Venga Boys
Hey Baby - DJ Otzi
American Girl - Tom Petty
Saturday Night - Whigfield
Cheeky Girls
Sound of the Underground - Girls Aloud
