Booked my ceremony/reception site this weekend... now what?
We just booked this past weekend for July 2, 2006!!!! So my questions is, what should we book next? I know we should do the band, since that goes fast. People have been telling me besides the band, I can wait on everything else, but I feel like if I can, I should try to do as much as possible early.

I would start with vendors like photo, video and band/DJ. These are vendors that book up for a date, not like flowers who can service more than one wedding per day. Photo, video and music tend to have more than one 'team' but they aren't of endless supply. Especially if you have a specific budget in mind, the earlier you shop the better off you are!

Does anyone have any suggestions on good dj's, video, photo, etc? We booked Jericho Terrace 2 weeks ago. Have any opinions?

Well, first, Congratulations! We all know that is the most diffiuclt part of planning a wedding! My friend is also getting married the same day
I wasnt in too much of a rush to plan anything else but I did run out and book my photographer. I felt that was important and the 2nd costly thing after the hall. I also was hearing about the rise in the prices come after the New Year.
Do what you feel is necessary and like everything else it will come whether sooner or later. Im on a freeze but sure enough I have an appt for video next Sun. See, the fun never ends!

For a DJ I went with Tommy's Tunes because I have heard only great things from friends and family... as for the photog/video... Im in the middle of my search now... I posted all of the packages I have found so far on our 06 board... so that may help!
The main things to book are definately the hall, ceremony, music, and photographer. My next step after that will be flowers! Since we have the time, I have been trying to tackle one vendor/item per month so I dont get too stressed!
