1/15/05 WOTY review... from the WOTY bride!

Hi Everyone-
Well as the WOTY bride... I feel that I should do my reivew as any other bride! I also know that so many of you had questions, so hopefully I can answer some of them in here. I also wanted to thank everyone who attended-- and most of all to thank RON & LIZ for having Mike and I take part!!

Fantasia Bridal of Rocky Point-
This wonderful bridal shop lent me a gown to wear! I worked with Stephanie and she helped me choose the Maggie Sottero Chantilly, which was absolutely STUNNING! It was a perfect fit and definitely different from my original gown. She also gave me a beautiful tiara to wear!

Church of Ancient Ways- April
I can't tell you enough how much DH and I enjoyed working with April. She was our officiant and she was just incredible. At our wedding we had a Catholic Mass, and it was just 'missing something.' We told April about this and she customized our vows and renewal ceremony just the way we wanted. She really helped make our marriage renewal special to make up for what our old ceremony severly lacked- having the wedding be about Me and Mike!! If we could do our original again, Mike and I both said we would have done it this way!

Florisan Florist- Lynn
Working with Lynn was terrific! She was very in tune to the details of my gown and what the other girls were wearing! She even went with me to look at the gown so she could see it. Planning bouquets for girls wearing 3 different colors was quite a task and Lynn pulled it off beautifully. We all loved our very colorful bouquets! They had a variety of flowers and the flowers were very fresh and kept up for the entire day. I don't think my boquet has wilted yet!

Good Old Gold of Massapequa- Christen
I almost fell on the floor when I heard there was a jewler who wanted me to showcase their jewlery! So I emaled Christen a picture of the MS Chantilly and I stopped by the store, she had the most stunning GOREGOUS necklace and earrings! They were antique looking and they just went terrific with the gown. She absolutely read the gown and matched it up with amazing jewlery. So they lent to me a 7.5 carat diamond necklace and diamond chip earrings to match the gown. Their store was so friendly and they had so many beautiful necklaces and earrings.

Marie Katz, Makeup
What a doll!! Marie did my makeup and she was fantastic! I didn't have airbrushing for my wedding, and honestly I had no idea what it was! But she airbrushed my base on, and it looked terrific! My makeup did not budge one bit and it was very light on my face! I loved her work, and she was really awesome when I was a PITA and asked her to fix my eyeshadow! Everyone compliemented me on the makeup and my DH thought it looked terrific!

The Hair Genie- Jen
I LOVED HER! Jen was terrific! We were very short on time and Jen truly lived up to her name as the Genie! She had my hair whisked up into an amazing up-do in 10 minutes! Her work was beautiful and my hair didn't budge one bit. I loved how I looked!!!

Coachman Limosine & Historical Chapel
We had the stretch Cadilac Escalade for the entire BP and it was very clean and nice to ride in. Our driver, whose name I never got, was great. She made sure she helped me get in and out, ran after me with jackets since I was so cold and took care of me when I got to the chapel. The Chapel was so adorable! Mike and I loved it!

White Wings Dove Release- Macy
After our ceremony, Mike and I were given the wonderful opportunity to release real doves! After a beautiful reading, we sent them off to symoblize our love.

Perceptions Photographer- Anthony
What can I say- I love this guy. I know I'm biased as he was the photographer at my wedding, but I am confident that they pictures he took that day will be amazing. Anthony is fun to work with and a true talent.

Well I think that's it. And once again- what a great day! DH and I were so honored to be a part of the WOTY.

Ya know.. I tried so hard to win that scanner!! Honestly-- I don't have any pics scanned from my real wedding! Can you believe it?? The only pic of me in my dress is my avatar

Cheryl! What a great review and such a cute idea

I saw so many pictures and heard all about the WOTY - you were definitely a perfect and looked so very lovely! The girls looked so very pretty also, and I love the pics that KimberlyBride posted with all the different flowers and CPs. So gorgeous!

I am still sorry I could not be there to meet you all, but am glad to see that the day went off so beautifully.

I only reviewed vendors I had a one-on-one experience with.

Since I didn't have any contact or personal experience with the Hilton, I can not give an accurate review.
